CACAGOO Baby Monitor, Security WiFi IP Camera 1080 HD Pan/Tilt Wireless Pet Camera

Firstly, I ordered this with a discount on it which meant I paid £18.89 (next day delivery). I am over the moon with the quality of this camera, so much that I ordered another for today. I made use of the night vision last night. I'm fully aware it is an indoor camera but thought I'd give it a go with the window open.. Extremely clear image! Through glass it doesn't work during the night as expected. It allows me to talk through it to my dog which as you can see on one of my uploaded photos - he heard my voice and looked at the camera. I have made use of the 3 days free cloud storage which gives you continuous recording of the feed. Very good purchase and I'm a very happy customer!

For the cheap price this camera is great. I only use it to spy on my kitten through the day making sure she is ok, and I was curious to know what she gets up to when alone... love how you can speak through the camera and can rotate it using your phone!! cant fault anything :)

The camera in itself is great, what I really hate to the point that I am considering returning it, is that tyey force you to pay for cloud storage otherwise it's a useless piece of tech. They imply that you can use a memory card but that doesn't work in tye same way cloud storage does. Although the settings imply it will save "cloud events" to the memory card in the same way as it does to the cloud in reality it doesn't making the camera useless! Really not happy about them gouging me for $69+ per year just for cloud storage especially since i already pay for cloud storage for video and photos, it doesn't give you the option to use other cloud storage. It seems a really dishonest way of marketing! So yes will be contacting Amazon about sending it back and the trying to find another cam that doesn't gouge you for cloud storage!

Very nice little camra got it to watch the dog while we was out very easy to use and set up and very good for such a cheap price

CACAGOO Baby Monitor S2176W-UK (Wireless) £21 Jan2020Exceptional versatility with digital zoom, tilt and pan fully controllable.Identifies movement and follow the subject.The lens is not the best quality but adequate for a range of 4-5 meters where you can recognise facial features. For monitoring pets etc where detailed face recognition is not required this is a good and very inexpensive camera.I am actually using it to monitor a remote old grey type LED meter in a remote location at a distance of approx 30cm. (Camera to meter) This has proven difficult because in the dark the infrared lighting at such close range actually creates a reflection so the display (1cm x6cm) is unreadable, but I overcame this by using an USB LED light (as used for a laptop) set at a slight angle which lit the display without back reflection.The camera is powered by a micro USB socket & an adapter / 240v uk plug is suppliedFor my purpose the cam and LED light is powered by a 2 outlet USB plug adaptor on an extension lead which is plugged in when I require a reading. The camera powers up in about 1 min and keeps all its settings when the extension lead is switched off.There may be some security issues with the device because while you need a password to enable the App used for controlling the camera, the Camera links to the app by the camera reading a bar code on the screen of your phone/device created by the App. The user cannot customise this and it is not clear if the code used is randomly generated, associated with a fixed password for the individual camera or a factory default setting. When questioned the vendor could not clarify.The pan/tilt mechanism makes a small noise which is not noticeable a meter away.Tried monitoring a red LED display and this was easily readableWell worth trying for most small room applications

Whilst this camera is entirely fit for purpose, it does have its foibles. The app is laggy. A good few seconds for the signal sent to received. But works fine and if practiced you can compensate for it. It also has the ability to set a specific angle, so once set you can select it from a menu. Setup was I little faffy, but again, quite doable. There are three methods. A QR code was my method of syncing up device and camera. The low level light detection is actually very good and quite defined. Great night visibility. As for the motion detection it’s either hyper sensitive and sees dust motes, or a bit fritzy. But as mentioned, just hit your programmed camera position and it rights itself. For its price point you cannot go far wrong at all. Bonus round! It also has a photo and video capture ability. Again doable from the app, and can record to device or micro sd. A fantastic little addition. And obviously has excellent use in terms of evidence capture and the like.

For the very low price I paid, this is the best camera I have for the task I needed it for. I need 24x7 recording to its SD card and for the footage to be available from the app. It does that well. Several other cameras I tried had limitations making it impossible.The external WiFi antenna helps boost reception, making connectivity more stable. The motorised pan and tilt is useful but I would have preferred a very slightly wider lens.Picture quality is very good given the price. If I need another camera I'll buy this same model again as I liked it so much.

Easy camera to setup. Instrucions are clear and detailed. You basically down the app, register, sign in, set it up on your network, click the plus icon in the app, click the device you have then the scan the QR code on the side of the camera. Loads of useful features in the app that you can turn on and off. (i have uploaded a photo of these settings). you can watch your house remotely too, so i discovered today. I thought you had to subscribe as it came up asking when i first set it up but that must have been for something else - possibly the cloud service they offer? ( should have read i before closed it. lol) As i haven't signed up can't comment on that feature. Picture is crisp and detailed, Both on the local netwok and remote one. There was a bit of lag when moving the camera remotely but I can live with that I was using my 4g connection on Vodafone. Overall for the price of this camera it is really very impessive!
