My new room is much smaller than where I used to live, so I needed to find a cutting mat I could store easily while still being good enough. Also wanted it to be under a tenner as I planned to use it only short-term (little did I know, haha) - this seemed promising.This gray cutting mat is a nice A3 size, which is ideal for small scale craft, sewing, or art projects. As another reviewer already wrote, it also fits nicely under your laptop as a desk mat if you have no other place to store it, but it still takes up little space when you fold it up, so it shouldn't be a problem either way. I did not have a problem with nasty smells, thankfully, and even if that were the case, I'd chalk it up to being brand new and fresh out of the factory.The self-healing part is so-so - some cuts do heal up completely, others leave small, but smooth scars on the mat's surface. I don't mind that personally, because this does not make it any less functional, just wanted to point it out.For the price and convenience combo, I'd rate this 5*.

The item description stated that one side would have measurements in CM, and one in inches. There are no inch markings on the mat. Very disappointed, as that's what I wanted it for. Seems to be good quality otherwise. A bit of honesty up front would have made the difference.

I have been using this cutting mat for the last few days cutting up old calendars with a metal rule and a scalpel... the surface of the board shows no damage at all.It is as smooth as it was delivered.Using the squares as guides I have formed perfect right angles...I wish I had found this brand sooner.Just works perfectly

As I am making masks and couldn't find my large mat as I had put it somewhere to keep flat I noticed this folding one and bought it. It has proved to be excellent as I am cutting smallish pieces it doesn't need to be any bigger and when placed flat the fold lines do not interfere with the cutting. I am really pleased

This seems to be a perfectly good cutting mat, but I've knocked off a star because of its very strong rubbery smell. Perhaps it will reduce over time but at the moment it's unpleasant.

So wish I had bought one of these a long time ago! This is excellent quality and a good price compared with other cutting boards, I spent ages going through them all.The size is perfect for my small dining table, been using the dc fix sticky back plastic and it’s so much easier with a Stanley knife and one of these boards, makes it so much quicker! Totally recommend

Excellent value. Well made. Someone complained there are no inches or centimetre markings on each side. Well, if you can't tell the difference between cm and " by looking... maybe you should take up playing drums.Yes, it does pong a little bit out of the bag, but unless you have a sniffer dog in the house, it's unlikely to offend.Definitely worth the money. Just watch out for the LUDICROUSLY LARGE box it's delivered in.

I love how this mat is designed. Its great for just being able to shove in a backpack and make it truly portable.I had to take stars off for the smell though. It honestly smells like weed and its strong. I've had this for months now and I still get a whiff of it.Haven't tried to remove the smell with any products because I don't want to risk damaging the mat. If it wasnt for the smell I would give it 5 stars.
