When bloodwork showed I need to take an iron supplement, my healthcare provider didn't tell me which one. There is a lot of information out there claiming which types of iron won't cause gastrointestinal issues. I started with slow FE and that was not good. Based on medical literature, I chose this BISGLYCINATE formula and it has been clearly better than the others. No GI issues and I can take it every day. I sometimes add orange juice to just boost absorption, but you don't have to. With meals or without, any time of day, I've had no discomfort with this BISGLYCINATE form. It comes in three cards with the pills in individual blisters (plastic bubbles) and they are also easy to push out. Tip: write the date you start on the blister and you can keep track of how many you've taken to track your own compliance and report to your healthcare provider.

I needed to take an Iron supplement after my tests came back as low. These are easy to swallow, and do not cause any bathroom issues for me. I ordered another package to be sure to have them on hand. Be aware you will have very green/black stool. ( sorry if that's TMI)

These pills have an unpleasant, metallic aftertaste that lingers. Even with food, the taste is hard to ignore and not very enjoyable for me.

The pills are small and easy to swallow, which is nice, but the packaging could be better—felt a bit flimsy and not very convenient to use.

Kroger brand iron was way more effective for me. This product may work better for others. When it comes to supplements it depends on the person.
