AC adapter provided really reduced charging time
Was interested in going from USB to Surface Pro connection. Unfortunately none of my devices charged through USB-C, with a C adapter I purchased. Guess it takes a different adapter.BUT, the AC adapter that has a female C connector, plugged into the Surface Pro reported it charges in 1/2 the time as the adapter that came with the Surface Pro! So now I'm only taking this adapter and cable with me when traveling.Maybe if I'm around an Apple docking station - I can test the C cable on it.

Not what I expected, but the setup works and that is what I needed
I was hoping I could use a third party cable with a USB-C adapter on one end and the standard Microsoft surface power connector to the computer on the other. This has not worked out which was a disappointment. Somehow the power source knows that the Microsoft power cable with a USB-C connector is not plugged the USB-C to USB -C cable for Power Delivery to the computer. Not enough to make me return the charger, although I did briefly consider doing so.

You need this if you have a Surface
I have a Surface Laptop, which I bought so I can travel light. So carrying a proprietary brick and charger sort of negates the lightness of the laptop. I carry an Anker 45 watt charger, which has USB C and A outlets. This plugs in to the C slot and charges my Surface quickly, and I can also charge a phone or accessory at the same time via the A outlet. Highly recommended!

Charging cable stopped working after 1 week!
I purchased this product so that I had a charging option for my Microsoft Go while travelling. Rather than carrying the included charging brick around, I used the charging cable with a two port Anker PowerPort Atom. The product worked fine for 1 week, but then stopped charging my Microsoft Go. When I tried the cable with the included adapter, the USB-C connector started smoking.

Strange things starting happening
I purchased this in Aug of 2019 and I'm writing this review in Dec 2019. When I first received this product I thought it would be great because I was on my second dead MS 44W charger and thought this would be a good replacement. I started to notice that whenever the plug was attached to my Surface Pro 4 and I had my Keyboard attached, the track mouse on the keypad and the touchscreen function would not work properly. If I used the bluetooth mouse, it was fine as well as the Stylus. Also, the actual cord would not work to charge the Surface if using a different power block. As well as this power block would not work with any other connection to power any other devices. So, basically this would only charge the surface pro and that's it. Lastly, this block is no longer working to charge my surface pro. If I disconnect the long cord that attaches to the surface pro, the power light would go out. However, if the power block was plugged in on its own the power light would light up, but once I plug the extension into it, it would go out again and not charge. The idea of this product was promising, but the quality and delivery was not sustainable nor did it deliver the diversity of use, that it advertises. I cannot recommend this product at this time.

Almost there but there's something up with this.
Ok so weird story about this, but first the pros and cons. Yes this thing charges my Surface just fine. I do with that the prongs on the charging brick could be folded down, just for traveling purposes but otherwise this is exactly like it says on the tin.Ok weird story time: When i plug my surface in with this charger, the mouse starts acting up on the microsoft keyboard/case. Like it can't figure out how to track my finger on the track pad. This only happens when i'm using this charger. if i use the one that came with the surface, it works just fine. That makes me a little worried because it makes me thing that either the voltage/wattage is slightly off, or the wires aren't shielded properly.

Something that works...
Finally a connector and cable which works with RAV charger and Surface Pro 6. Though the product came with a charger but I was more interested to use the cable with usb c power for easy travel combination. Now I can just carry one charger for my surface pro 6 and iPhone, MacBook Pro and iPad Pro ...

Works as advertised
Allows me to charge from a generic bank with a USB-C cable, much more practical than the base charger. Only issue is the plug itself is pretty clunky, will always block two plugs on a strip (so does the one that came with the unit).
