Vasco Mini 2 Voice Translator Device - Supports 50+ Languages, Understands 2-Way Conversation - Free Internet - Easy-to-Use Design, Noise-Reduction Microphone

I bought this device because I often travel to China and have started to make friends who don't speak much English (my Mandarin is minimal). However, as soon as it arrived my wife had the idea to try using it in her work as a Practice Nurse. She found it an improvement over the telephone translation service she currently uses - and this included some technical medical terms. Her receptionist colleagues also started using it to make sure patients understood things like appointment times. They all love it and are lobbying the Practice to get one. For me, the boon is the global SIM card. I often find I need translation help when I don't have WiFi e.g. in taxis. I know there are similar smartphone apps and I have a Chinese SIM but I maintain a minimal Chinese contract and only upgrade my data package when I'm in China. This will work as soon as I touch down and in most other countries I'm likely to visit. Highly recommended.

Built in wi-fi works well and Spanish friends say it is very accurate in translation. Sometimes machine does not translate but that might be me with a slight lisp

I travel a lot for my business and being linguistically challenged I was looking for some way to bridge the communication gaps. Most of the translators that I looked at needed a wifi connection to work which may not always be possible so I loved the fact that this used both wifi and GSM. The day after receiving it I went to France for an international conference. This gadget really came into its own. I first tested it out with the taxi driver on the way to the venue and we had a really good chat and except for one moment where it translated the word first for sex. It was perfect. At the conference,​ I was able to have conversations with fellow delegates from Spain, Germany, Italy and Greece to name a few with ease. They were all impressed with the gadget and I know for a fact the delegate from Spain has also now bought one and others are interested too. Fantastic item, very impressed.

We are staying in Corfu in Greece and though I have only had the Mini 2 for three weeks it is great !

It's very easy to use. REcognizes any voice easily and has good reproduction In cases where there is no voice reproduction (some languages) it keeps the written text

Looks well made. I have only tried it in the UK . Dutch English and English Dutch . It really works. So far I am very yimpressed.

I bought this product for my partner so that he can communicate with my family and friends in Croatian. The translation from Croatian to English is often grammatically incorrect and as a native speaker I cannot understand what is being said in Croatian - the speech is very fast and unclear.

Compré este mini traductor en febrero de 2020 por mis viajes de trabajo al extranjero. En el primer viaje que tuve a Ucrania, me prestó un servicio excepcionalmente valioso, demostrando sobradamente las características y capacidades señaladas. Realmente MUY , MUY BUENO y bajo condiciones climatológicas realmente duras (Entre -2 y -15º C en el exterior y, en ocasiones, sin ningún tipo de wifi disponible y trabajando en el sótano de un edificio). No obstante, ya de regreso a España y meses después, empezó a fallarme de forma extraña tras unos meses de no usarlo por la pandemia. Hace unos días y expirada ya la garantía, me puse en contacto con el servicio de Vasco-Electronics a través de Amazon solicitando ayuda para resolver el problema. Un par de día después, recibí una atenta llamada telefónica de una trabajadora del departamento de atención al cliente de Vasco-Electronics. Fue extremadamente eficaz y muy útil para ayudarme a resolver el problema on-line. Me indicó, paso a paso, qué es lo que tenía que hacer para reconfigurar mi mini-traductor y que volviera a funcionar. Tras unos veinte minutos de estar pacientemente en contacto conmigo, y habiendo seguido fielmente sus instrucciones técnicas, todo se había resuelto y mi mini traductor funcionaba de nuevo perfectamente. GRACIAS Vasco-Electronics por un excelente producto y GRACIAS Sra / Srta Jessica por su profesionalidad, paciencia y dedicación a su trabajo. Questo mini traduttore tascabile è affidabile in quanto a differenza di altri traduttori simili, si collega sempre ai servers dedicati anche in ambienti chiusi,come alberghi, banche stazioni etc., cosa importante è parlare con chiarezza... testato in Croazia e mi sono fatto capire... non mi interessa se lo stile di traduzione non è da letterato... traduce meglio le lingue più importanti inglese, cinese, francese, spagnolo, tedesco e poi a seguire italiano e via via le altre le lingue minori,sul sito internet ci sono tutte le informazioni,come qualità nella traduzione predilige l'inglese da quanto testato, lo schermo touch screen è ben leggibile anche in pieno sole, i tasti sono funzionali, la velocità di traduzione è di1 o 2 secondi e la traduzione, non si limita a poche parole, ma può tradurre molto di più,basta tenere premuto il pulsante,

Après de longues recherches et autres études comparatives, mon choix s’est porté sur ce Vasco mini 2. Cet appareil est parfait pour ce pourquoi il a été (bien) conçu. Rien de superflu, pas de Bluetooth ou d’appareil photo mais une puissance de traduction infernale et une connexion permanente et gratuite grâce a sa carte SIM. Vous avez donc accès partout à un serveur actualisé contenant toutes les évolutions linguistiques, des bases de données qui ne cessent de s’enrichir ainsi que des mises à jour améliorant constamment les services proposés. Le prix est certes élevé mais parfaitement à la hauteur de la qualité proposée...au moins on paie pour quelque chose d’utile et durable et non pas pour un énième gadget. Amazon s’est occupé de la livraison, expresse…et un dimanche qui plus est. Top service !

Völlig unproblematische Inbetriebnahme. Die SIM-Karte, die weltweit funktionieren soll, funktioniert bislang in Österreich und Deutschland problemlos. Die Qualität der Übersetzung ist in 90-95 % gut und richtig. Die Qualität der synthetischen Stimmen hervorragend. Bei GSM Betrieb muss man gelegentlich mehrfach starten (auf den Knopf drücken) ist dann die Übersetzung kommt. Das Teil funktioniert auch im Auto während der Fahrt! In meinem Fall benötige ich südamerikanisches Spanisch, was auch tatsächlich einstellbar ist und entsprechend übersetzt wird. Fazit: 300 € sind ein Wort, aber hier eine Kaufempfehlung.
