Under normal mouse motion, say doing a flick or long swipe the friction is low. Nothing spectacular, just slick like other typical gaming pads. It shines though in two ways:1. The STATIC friction is low and nearly identical to the dynamic friction. If you make a tiny adjustment from a stop you'll have spectacular precision.2. If you are guilty of hard pressing your mouse into the pad at times, it remains slick and doesn't bog down like another pad would.How it plays out for me in an FPS game: I do that gross "snap" to a target 90 degrees away followed by a subtle adjustment from body to head. The snap was fine - long distance, lots of force, it didn't matter if the pad was sticky if moving from a standstill. That subtle adjustment though was getting wrecked. Switched to a lighter mouse (helped some) and this pad (helped a LOT) and that problem is gone. Accuracy at mid to longer ranges drastically improved. Ingame stats objectively improved.How to feel what I'm talking about with your current pad: Make some 1cm motions back and forth with mouse, not stopping. Now move 1cm, stop, 1cm back, stop, etc... Notice difference. Stickiness. This mouse pad does NOT have this.
