Spectrum Essentials Organic Ground Flaxseed, 24 oz.

I've been adding this ground flaxseed to my protein shakes for some extra fiber, and I've been really happy with it. The biggest plus for me is how well it sits on my stomach. I haven't noticed any additional bloating or gas since I started using it, which makes it easy to keep including it in my shakes without worrying about how I'll feel afterward. I also really like the nutty flavor it adds. I bought it for the extra fiber, but the taste has turned out to be a nice benefit too. It adds something I actually enjoy to the things I put it in, so it doesn't feel like I'm adding an ingredient just for the sake of getting more fiber. I've been keeping it in the refrigerator since opening it, and it's still fresh after a couple of weeks. That's been working well for me as I make my way through the bag, and I plan to buy another when this one runs out.

I did quite a bit of research before deciding to purchase this brand and I have not been disappointed. The fact is is organic and ground small enough to mix with many different foods although I have only tried it with my oatmeal. It also offers one of the best values for ground flaxseed that I found in my research. One of my cardio rehab nurses told me this is one of the best things I could add to my diet for my recovery from a heart attack. I am glad it mixes well with my oatmeal and one package lasts a long time. I found during my research that you can extend the freshness of the flaxseed by keeping it in the freezer between uses, which I do in a ziplock bag.

This has a marvelous taste and mixes very well into my smoothies and my yogurt. I would highly recommend this product.

It's a good product but I just don't like it. The ground flax seed gets in my teeth and drives me nuts. I tried it in cottage cheese and it was terrible. I don't like the texture of the ground seed at all. I think if you baked it into muffins it would be fine but like it is......NO. I just don't like it at all. The ground is so fine that it is not crunchy but just enough that it is grainy in your mouth and gets all in your teeth and takes forever to get it all out. Even with a water pick. For me this product is a huge NO.

It blends well with my smoothies. Taste is great and so far I’m happy with it. There is no smell to it for me and I like the fact that it is organic.

I eat a little daily with my protein yogurt. I’ve been on a GLP-1 and making sure I have both enough protein and fiber is important. I also want to make sure I’m getting the right nutrients. Flaxseed has been a go-to for a while and it’s perfectly nutty and a little filling with my daily yogurt.

I use this in my bread making and also mixed into my porridge and meusli. Very healthy.

Very delicious taste! It goes with cereals to any favorite dish, can be mixed with almost everything. Have been using it for quite a long time now, flaxseed seems to be of very good quality and it is also produced in the United States of America. Great choice, will definitely buy again.
