EASILY the champ in 1/48th Warthogs - very fine detail and EXTENSIVE ordnance choices. Warm your feet this winter by burning all your old RM A-10 boxes in the fireplace while you enjoy this model.

While the model has recessed panel lines, parts do not fit together cleanly without requiring sanding/filling. Deformities in plastic where alignment pins located, additional plastic deformities around cockpit requiring filling of fuselage due to molded-on interior detail. Very disappointing for a newer release model. I've been constructing kits for the past 30 years, this kit was like taking a step back in time when fit and quality were always an issue. Bottom line, save your money.

It took me a while to get this kit and I could not be happier. It gets 5 stars because it really is the best for the money. The panel lines and rivets are clean and detailed the kit itself may have a lower part count but no detail is lacking(see below). There is a truly stupefying amount of ordinance for this kit so go crazy or go super accurate. The kit is not perfect how ever. I found lite flashing on almost all pieces and one of the trees/sprues was covered in mold release and required extra cleaning. The gear are plastic but mostly single piece. Its a heavier kit so a stand wouldn't be out of the question. Real rubber tires though. The main gun is beautiful but has significant room for improvement as does the cockpit. I can't recommend a detail up parts kit for the kit but it needs one. The instrument panels are poor at best.
