FlorsheimMen's, Lexington Cap Toe Oxford

Sold men's shoes while in college, Florsheim are high quality and one of the few that have combination leather and synthetic sole, they used to be strictly leather soles. Still high quality wore this pair for a trip to Spain & Portugal on the Queen Elizabeth from Florida. Looked stellar with my Tuxedo, also worked great on the dance floor, highly recommended!

I bought these shoes about a year and a half ago and have worn them every day to work. They are beautifully made, well-constructed and fit true to size. At first the shoes were very stiff, with very little give and they did hurt my feet (perhaps I should have gone a half size up). But after a few months of everyday wear, they relaxed and are now very comfortable shoes. I polish them with regular shoe polish and they shine up very nice. The leather sole is starting to show some wear and I will probably take them to a shoe cobbler to get the sole replaced. Overall, I am very happy with these shoes, they are my number one dress shoes for work and I love them. Thanks Florsheim!

Ordered these for my husband as his other pair by Florsheim were destroyed by our cats, and we can't find his new pair. He didn't have any time to break them in for the big day, so he got to wear them for the first time on our wedding day! Despite that, he said they really fit and wore really well. He didn't complain about his feet hurting ( and he really should have.. it was an outdoor wedding in a garden, LOTS of walking and being on our feet!)The style of Florsheim really is great for the price! He looked good in them, and they really matched close to the previous style he had. All in all, we would definitely buy again should our cats destroy another pair..

I bought these because I thought they looked great. They fit well when I got them. Wore in fine at first. I alternate these with 3 other pairs of shoes so they aren't a daily wear shoe. After 5 months, I noticed they started cracking at the toe crease, and peeling. You can get the same quality shoe for half the price. Either buy cheaper shoes and expect to replace them constantly or spring for Allen Edmonds and get what you pay for. For the price, I think these should have lasted longer than 6 months. Made in China junk.

my husband purchased these shoes 11 years ago for our wedding. he has loved them so much this is his 3rd pair since. they look great with his suits and are very comfortable. he needs an extra wide which is hard to find but florsheim always has what he needs. these shoes look great, feel great, wear well and get lots of compliments. we are extremely satisfied.

I have been a Florsheim-only guy for years but I have to agree that the quality is not what it once was. In fact, I stopped buying the Lexington style a couple of years ago because they just plain wore out too quickly so I switched to other cap-toe models - they were no better quality, I came back to the Lexington style since it will take a spit shine whereas other models of the cap toe just can't be brought up to a nice gloss. Another down-side, this recent, is that I, too, find the sizing off, being about 1/2 size too large. Time to find a new brand of shoe.

I'm fairly new to Florsheim shoes, having picked up my first pair last Christmas. I needed some new dress shoes and decided to give the brand a try again. Though I've only hand the opportunity to wear them a few times since receiving them, I'm really happy with the fit and comfort. They felt great 5 minutes after putting them on for the first time.Very happy with this shoe and I wouldn't hesitate to purchase it again.

I have worn these for years, they are part of my work "uniform" I have both the black and wine. I read that they are not true EEE that may be the case I'm not a big guy and I wear the EEEs. Love the shoe this has to be at least my 6th pair over 25 years or so. I finally started putting taps on and they last forever.

These are not the Florsheim Lexington I used to know. These feel very plasticky and cheap. Not even leather sole. Grossly misrepresented.To be returned!
