DOEWORKS Expandable Fence Privacy Screen

This faux ivy trellis completely exceeded my expectations. The aesthetics are fantastic, instantly adding a lush, green look to my space. Installed in Oct 2022 and it's now May 2024 in NJ - 20 months and 2 winters. They have held up better than expected. Pics show 2022 vs 2024. Indoors they do smell a lot, like chemicals. Don't know how long it would take for smell to dissipate, but mine are outdoors so I didn't have to worry. If buying several, definitely buy all at same time. I bought in 2 separate orders to make sure I liked them and they were sized differently, including the thickness of the bamboo. The color has faded, but it still looks okay. The 2024 photos were taken on a cloudy day. The install was easy because I have a double shadowbox fence and just placed them between the boards. I had to trim some of the bamboo so it would stretch over the posts and meet the next panel. That was a bit of a hassle. Overall I am happy with the added privacy it gives. I'll probably buy again when these really fade or breakdown...another 2yrs?

It definitely did elevate my balcony and it looks really nice however it isn’t as full coverage as I thought and it doesn’t really help with the “privacy” aspect. Other than that it’s pretty stable, a decent size, covered 90% of my balcony.

This worked out perfectly. I have it on my balcony so my cats won’t crawl underneath. Very easy to set up, secured with zip ties (included!) Works like a charm, and looks great to boot!

Great for hiding ugly things in your yard like an old bbq, old iron railing, etc. You get some privacy but they do break down in weather and need to be replaced every year.

We put these up on our apartment balcony railings back in April (three months ago). After lots of windstorms and rain, I can say with confidence that these privacy screens are great. Very few of the leaves have blown off and all of the sticks and wires have held up. No sun-bleaching or cracking. I will say that while it CAN extend a long ways, it does create pretty wide gaps when fully extended and becomes fairly narrow. Just go ahead and get the extra piece. There is definitely a smell with these. It falls somewhere between warm plastic and an almost botanical, citronella-type smell? After three months, I rarely catch a whiff of it. But yes, there is off-gassing and it's probably a permanent state of affairs.

I got 2 sets of 2 of this trellis to attach to an existing chain link fence to provide privacy. I love that the size is adjustable, so you can make it wider/shorter or taller/narrower. It looks strong and well built, and it stays quite rigid when you stand it the long way vertically (tall), as I did. The only thing is that the greenery could look a little more realistic, but compared to other fake vines that are sold, it's really not bad (I got the dark green one).

Easy, removable, easy storage

This gave us some much needed privacy as we live on a main street. In high winds, we tend to lose a leaf here or there but all in all, this is a great way to add some colour to a small space and an easy way to have minimal privacy.
