Indoor / outdoor Temp / clock & weather
I have had this unit for over a year. Once I got it going, indoor / door sensor, it has worked very well until today. I awoke this Jan 13 2013 to find my house water frozen and my outdoor sensor dead. I thought I had used lithium batteries but found that was not the case. Now I am shopping for AA 1.5v Lithium batteries. Also I am looking to see if there is any truth that more than one outside sensor will work with one of these clocks. When I first set this clock up, I seem to remember that it would. But there is NO notes hear about it doing that. I also noted that there are different frequencies listed for the out door sensors. Be mindful to check that your outdoor sensor and your indoor unit agree on that number. It could be that the unit uses different frequency for multiple sensors. I remember my base unit searching different channels and wished at the time that I could get more sensors to place outside for East, North, and West measurements.CON: I purchased this unit with the intent of having LARGE Font display. The Time is the right size for couch reading but the lower display of Temperatures and particularly Date are NOT. We ALL have to get up and WALK over to read the lower display. (25' more or less) Also: At night the lamps reflect in ALL the displays and makes it even more difficult to read the Displays. Lastly: The unit display is CROPPED so close to the Read out that it is difficult to Discern the number 7 from a 1 and others particularly at night. I would recommend you put a light over, side, or under the unit like you would a painting mindful about the REFLECTIVE nature of the display. Perhaps some GREEN LEDs as I personally find green a light that I can read at NIGHT!

Very user unfriendly battery replacement and set-up
I have the La Crosse Atomic Clock for 6 months now, and I have just went through the procedure of battery replacement for the first time. Yes, the first batteries lasted about 6 months before they gave up. That may seem OK if the replacement procedure was straightforward, like opening the battery compartment, taking out the old batteries and placing the new ones in. Well, far from it! You had to take ALL units down and put them together in one place, take out the batteries of all of them (I have the Atomic Clock, La Crosse Technology WS-7014CH-IT Wireless Forecast Station , and the two temperature sensors that come with them) even if only in one of the sensors batteries were gone, and the others were still working fine. Then you have to wait 10-15 min for all units to discharge, and consequently to forget entirely your previous set-up. Then, you begin a very complicated procedure of putting the batteries in each unit, one by one in a specific sequence, following a precise time schedule counting the seconds on your clock. For example, the batteries in the second sensor must be installed no later then 45 sec. after the wireless station confirmed a signal from the first sensor, which must not happen later then 2 min. after the first sensor has been powered on, and since the station and the Atomic Clock must be powered AFTER the first sensor, this 2 min. interval is your only time-window to put the batteries in both, the station and the Atomic Clock. And, assuming you are successful, you have only 45 sec next to power on the second sensor and hope for the best... otherwise - repeat the exercise until you learn it! And, yes, first you have to find the description of this procedure somewhere in your 6-months old documentation, if you still keep it and remember where you put it, or do an exhaustive online search for the instruction manual. And this is not all. Since all units have been thoroughly reset and now are showing the midnight time of Jan. 1, you need to figure out how to set the time, date and a number of other things like the receiving station set-up and the weather forecast options. And guess what? This is not in the "quick set-up guide" that comes with your documentation, but you are instructed to refer to the "detailed set-up guide", which you have to search online. And all this just to change a battery! And you have to do this every several months or so until you get pissed off and decide to get rid of the device for good... I am giving it two stars in stead of one, because, after/if you manage to complete this exercise the units do work as advertised and you are rewarded with another several months (hope so) with what you actually hoped to get when buying them.

Works great; however I feel that the weather function is misrepresented.
The clock works great, the temperature is accurate with whats on the internet, and the view angle on the LCD is as good as it gets. The clock did not auto set (although I only gave it about 10 - 15 minutes to do so). So I set it manually (which is done fairly easily with the buttons on the back). The outside receiver took about 30 minutes to send the information to the clock, and once it did it worked perfectly. I have the reciever 2 walls away mounted on the side of the house and it works fine. It has been about a week and the temperature is spot on with online forecast. The internal temperature meter matches my digital thermostat readout perfectly. I will note that this clock gives half degrees as well, which is great! The barometer (pressure) meter took about a day to show up (makes sense, since its taking measurements). The weather forecast I feel is a bit misleading in advertising. It does not predict if it will rain or be cloudy or be sunny. According to the manual there are 3 display modes.Rainy clouds - Means weather will get worseClouds with sun - Means weather will remain the sameSun without clouds - Means weather will improve. This is basically barely useful information as those can be interpreted in a variety of different ways. So dont expect this to tell you if it will rain or not. It would be nice if it got the weather from the radio signal or something.Other than that the clock works great... I will also note that its a bit smaller thank I thought it would be. The whole thing is bout the size of a standard piece of paper.

A very attractive addition to the room
The time window is nice and big, but the lower window is very small, rather dull, and hard to read from more than five feet away.It keeps good time and matches our TV table perfectly.Ed.Alberta Canada

Excellent
I saw this clock online and decided to try it out especially for my room temperature and my outdoor. I am not disappointed at all, this unit delivered what it says the outdoor weather is accurate as the weather channel and my room temp is also accurate and the clock itself is awesome. I set the clock 10 minutes ahead so I won't be running late to work but the clock automatically reset itself to normal time. I am happy I did not lost money in buying it and this is my first purchase from amazon.I highly recommend this item to anyone who love technology.

La Crosse Technology Atomic Clock with outdoor Thermometer
The unit works well. Was bigger than I thought is was, but a nice size and very easy to see from a distance. The unit connected with the atomic clock over night. I love having the correct time to set all our other clocks.I recommend this to anyone who wants a remote outdoor thermometer. The radio controlled clock is a bonus.
