Frankie Boyle Live - The Last Days of Sodom

If you like crude humour, there's few who can do it better than Frankie Boyle. There are few things that Frankie would shy away from mocking, from celebrities addicted to attention, other, far more tame comedians to members of his audience.To be honest, I think he spent a little too much time comparing people in the audience to various animals, but there were some scenes which left me breathless from laughter, making his absence from the likes of "Mock The Week" all the more lamentable.

Frankie Boyle is a very bad man but an accomplished comedian who owes quite a lot to comedians such as Bill Hicks and George Carling and is none the worse for that yes he is crude but he is also gut achingly funny, I haven't seen a contemporary comedian to touch him and when he retires I think we will lose a true genius he tells it like it is and doesn't apologise, Last days of Sodom says what all thinking people with more than half a brain are thinking they are uncomfortable and unpalatable truths to some but if you like your medicine strong and uncompromising you won't do much better!

I like Frankie Boyle and laughed a lot watching this DVD. I feel sorry for the people in the front and nearby rows, they do get picked on a lot by Frankie, but that is part of the fun of watching from a distance. His humour is not for the faint hearted and therefore if you think he actually means some of the weird things he says, then steer clear (is my advice). However if you do take it as irony and satire on society, then it is well worth watching.

Good buy as I love Frankie and his swift, brutal delivery. This is his last stand up show, as he said he would quit when he turned 40. I went to the live filmed show at The Kings Theatre in Glasgow although didnt appear on the DVD :( .Definatley one for the comedy collection but not one you would watch with your nan on a Sunday. Buy it! Frankie fans wont be disappointed. Alot cheaper than in the shops too.

Bought as a gift for my dad, and its perfect. Only problem is that I had to open the plastic wrapping around the dvd box as the dvd was moving about inside the box, the disc wasn't properly attached inside, but still a great gift!

OK yeah there's a great bit of stand-up comedy at the front BUT.....like the most reputable massage parlours in our great nation the best bit is the "extras"In this case the "extras" is a TV Pilot called "The Frankie Boyle Rehabilitation Program" that I think was deemed too edgy for broadcast, or maybe Channel 4 just went off him?ANYWAY I'M IN IT!Yes, buy this DVD go straight to the extras and fast forward to 05:27 IT's ME !!!! how cool is that?

Some reviewers here have said there's not much point in this one if you've seen the previous two. Well, I have seen them and can't agree - I enjoyed this one every bit as much. Now that the price has come down I can recommend it wholeheartedly to those who enjoy Mr Boyle's particular humour.
