Solos for the Sanctuary - Hymns: 7 Piano Solos for the Church Pianist/Mid to Later Intermediate Level

Just okay
Just some background, I am a fairly advanced pianist that plays piano for a pretty conservative church and usually like to stay within traditional blue psalter hymnal songs (great is thy faithfullness, It is well, Amazing grace, etc etc). I look for arrangements that have/add a pretty opening melody that transitions into the hymn itself. This book has just okay arrangements. Level of difficulty is definitely advanced though. I was just disappointed that none of the added melodies are THAT pretty or interesting. I probably would buy it again though because it offers a little variety to what I have.

Great Addition to Church Pianist Library
I really like the arrangements in this book. They sound great, but are not too difficult to learn! And they are all old, familiar hymns that our church congregation will recognize, which is always a plus.

excellent condition; some pieces have jazz elements
excellent condition; some pieces have jazz elements, though, and I must change that for my use. Great variety of pieces

Beautiful
Beautiful arrangements though a bit of a challenge for me. I'll just need to practice more than usual.

Enjoyed these arrangements
Have purchased Glenda Austin arrangements previously and for me this book was better than the first. Very pleased.
