Great ATX Case
The Corsair Carbide Series Black 300R Windowed case is well worth the average price it's listed at...the list!!Pro's:1. The case fans, while being only 3 pin, are quiet and do a good job of regulating heat (specifically the front 140mm intake fan).2. Dust filter on the bottom for the psu. 3 dust filters in the front of the case. A big one for the front-center and 2 slim front-side filters. The psu and front-side filters can be slid out for easy cleaning. The front-center filter comes off with the front panel but is otherwise connected to it and can't be removed, though some canned air gets the job done.3. No disk/harddrive caddies taking up space in the front-middle of the case. This allows for any super long graphics card to be easily installed and gives case great air intake from the the front 140mm fan.4. The bottom of the case is elevated about an inch off the ground with 4 rubber-soled legs, allowing more cool air to filter up through the case.5. Bottom air holes perfectly set up for long psu's.6. The inside of the case has enough room to easily plug the dreaded 8 pin cpu connector in through the top, above the mobo while allowing enough room for a fan to be installed directly above.7. It's sturdy enough that I haven't noticed any vibration noise and that's with the case being less that a foot away from me on top of my desk.Con's:1. The two fan mounts on the windowed side panel obstruct almost a third of the panel. Even without fans installed the honeycomb design covers the middle area of the window making it hard to view through that part.Other Thoughts:1. Simple, elegant look to the case might be a turn off for some.2. Grommet's not included.3. No fan control built into the case for those wanting it.

Well thought out engineered Budget Gaming Case!
Very nice case to work with. I am impressed. I love the all black interior with the all black exterior to match.-Front cover comes off and comes with one 140mm fan and can accommodate two 140mm fans or two 120mm fans and has intake filters. (Filters in the front of case require a little effort to take out and clean, or you could just blow them out).-Clear side does not come equipped with fans but is ready to take on dual 140mm or 120mm fans.-The back of the case is equipped with a 120mm exhaust fan that could easily be adapted for a 120mm water cooled radiator.-The top of the case is fully vented and does not come with fans but can take either two 140mm or 120mm fans. This gives you the option of also running a dual 140mm water cooled radiator as well. [Running a fan towards the front on top could pose an issue installing an optical drive in the top 5.25 drive bay].-Very nice easy to pull out power supply filter on the bottom of the case.-Everything is thumb screws and does not require screws to hold drives in place but does give you the option to use screws if you prefer.-The right side of the case when pulled off gives you easy cable management space to run all your power cables in thus allowing the best possible airflow in your case (no obstructions). There is also a very large opening on the back to access the back of the cpu on the mother board making it easier if you are working with a larger heat-sync.-The first build I did with this case only had one hard drive so I pulled all the other drive bays out to allow more airflow from the front intake fans. Conclusion:If you are looking for an inexpensive case this is a very good case to work with, plenty of room, no sharp edges to cut yourself with, and is very inexpensive. I like it. If you do not desire the clear sided window you can save some money and buy the same case that does not have the window with the same features. I am just very impressed for a case in this price range and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to save money and not sacrifice quality.

Great Case For The Price
This is a very nice computer case, and I would like to point out that this most likely would have been a five star review if the case was not partially broken on arrival. Upon fully building the computer and buttoning it up I tried to 'post' and load my OS. I was very worried at first that my mother board was in some way damaged, or another component as the computer wouldn't start. I re-opened the case and disconnected the power switch cable and jumped the posts with a screw driver. After doing so the computer has worked perfectly. For now I have the power button run to the reset switch, it's not ideal but it will work. I was going to send for a new case but after a while I decided that it simply was not worth my time to tear apart the entire computer send the case back,, wait for a new one, then re-assemble everything again. So in stead I have opted to just fix the switch, it is a small, basic push button switch that can be purchased at radio shack for about 3 dollars. The actual review segment I will write as if the case was entirely functional. If this was the case (pun) then this would be a fantastic case over all. My system consists of an ASUS Z97 Sabertooth Mark I mother board, Intel Core i7 4790K, Corsair H60 liquid cooler, 8GB of corsair vengeance ram, EVGA 850 super nova power supply, and a crucial 256Gb ssd boot drive, a seagate 500Gb hdd, and finally a sapphire radeon R9. So in my new build there was a lot of cool stuff to display, so we chose the windowed version. I really like the large window and the windows fan slots that leave the possibility of 2 additional 120mm or 140mm fans. However I wish they would have made one that didn't have the fans slots. I say this because I do not need the fans there and with nothing there it is just adding clutter to the window taking away from the viewing pleasure. Other than that the case is a win as far as style goes. In my opinion this is a very handsome case no matter where you are looking at it. That being said, it is also very nice and subtle. It also looks very professional from all angles and doesn't seem gaudy. I would highly recommend this case for someone who is looking for a larger case that looks very professional.Actually building in the case is fairly easy, the case in on the large side for an ATX mother board. This does not bother me in anyway, we have plenty of space for the larger tower and the larger foot print makes build in side much less annoying and improves cooling. Cable management in this case (pun) was...adequate. I felt as if it could honestly use more places to zip tie down wires in the back of the case, that being said after I was done with some wire just thrown in there the back panel went on with out any bulges. It has three 5.25 inch drive bays with a snap in retention system. I found the snap in system to be fine but when I was plugging in sata cables it did pop out. If the snap in system isn't going to cut it for you then screws are included to screw them in as well. As far as hard drives go this case (pun) is slightly lacking in my opinion. It has only a single hard drive cage that can fit 4 hard drives in it. Even though I am only using 2 presently I may wish to add more and space may become an issue. Plus if you are the kind of person who needs a lot of storage space this may not be enough spaces. As far as 2.5 inch drives go I was also slightly disappointed. Now a days it is fairly common for you to be able to use the hard drive sleds with a 3.5 inch drive on the top and a 2.5 inch one on the bottom, effectively doubling the drive space. It appears that in this case (pun) it is theoretically possible. To do this though you would need to screw the 2.5 inch drive into the bottom of the sled, then mount the 3.5 inch drive. The only problem is that to get the smaller drive out again, you also need to take out the large one. Also the case doesn't seem to have been designed with that in mind, if you were to do this the ssd would touch the drive below it, assuming it was a standard thickness drive. This is a bad idea as it will create heat issues and poor air flow. If you have a larger than normal drive this setup will not work at all. There is an additional space for a ssd on the back of the mother board tray, so if you are using a ssd boot drive (I am) you could opt to put it there. All in all this is a great case for the price. It is well built and has very nice, clean look to it. There are a couple of nit pic things that I would like to see, but for the price I think it is about where it should be. As far as noise goes, on stock fans at idle, it is nearly silent. However at load the stock fans can get a little on the noisy side, but not more so than any other standard case fans.
