I started using this after Amigo had colic two years in a row, in the Spring, he has not had an episode since, that was a good many years ago. This Spring my other horse, Song, had Colic, so I put him on it as well. Optizyme is well worth the mone!

I generally keep equine probiotics on hand for specific situations, such as bringing a horse's digestion back after a course of antibiotics, or a change in feed, such as pasture with new types of grass, or deworming.I am currently moving my horses, little by little, into a grassy field. The elderly mare has loose bowels after each move. I believe using this product has helped firm up her manure. I took her off for a few days and she was loose after the next move. She is back on the product now and firmed up again.The 4-YO gelding, on the other hand is doing fine without the probiotics.I am glad I had this product available for the older horse. I will likely buy more to have on hand for the next 'situation'.

This seems to be very palatable, but hard to find, and it seems like it has suddenly become about 25% more expensive. Not sure if I will continue to purchase.

I've tried every pre and probiotic and gut health product over four years. This is the only one that actually stopped my mare from squirting fecal water. And she actually likes the taste. I can sprinkle it on her grain or just dump it in her feed bin. After daily dose over a few months I was able to just give every other day to maintain her. Best product ever!!!!
