Mac knives are exceptional and for the price a bargain, I have several, I also have Shun knives as well as other top quality blades, this one is razor shaving sharp right out of the box. Incredible Edge
Great knife! Holds an edge well. Blade edge is a bit asymmetric on the edge so be aware when sharpening. Did a wonderful job on fish and chicken didn't seem to do well with pork, but it is after all a chicken knife. A few shadows appeared on the blade, but were quickly removed with a mineral oil. Don't ever put it in the dishwasher-too fine of a tool to be abused like that.

mac does not make items that don,t scream form vs. function these knives have a very specific function and that hey do very well in this price range there are contenders and there are clear winners this one is a winner
