I use this to crush medications to administer them through a G-tube. It's very comfortable to hold and works well. The surface is very smooth and I'm able to get all the medication out of it without any difficulty. I use a small paintbrush to wipe the fine powder into the container I'm using to administer it. I have no complaints!

Good for crushing pills. I have a few mortars/pill crushers this one (and the stainless one) so far are the best. The twist/mechanical/stone frustrated me because some of the pills will stuck in the nook/crannies and so hard to take em out.

Either pull them apart and dump out contents, or just put the pill in a glass of water and wait for it to dissolve. This pill crusher is a perfect example of the KISS principle (Keep It Simple Stupid). The only complaints that I have, are that for some reason powder sticks to the glass bowl, and the covering on some pills does not get ground up very easily. wonderful size, lovely to showcase, heavy duty and made well.

this mortar and pestle worked great for grinding powders, until it broke on me today. there are tiny bubbles in the glass that are points of stress in the structure of the walls. apparently i applied too much pressure to these stress points and in an effort to release that stress, part of the wall popped off. i super glued the pieces back into place as best I could, and the same thing happened on a different spot of the bowl. it’s definitely not safe to use anymore. i only had this mortar and pestle for two months before this happened, so it wasn’t from extreme use or anything.

This is the perfect size for me.
