Excellent product even though it's from China.
I only use Lodge and or Griswold and old Wagner Ware made in USA cast irons, because of a lack of any of the American Maids making cast irons in this size I did a lot of research and read a lot of forms before I purchased this King cookware. I've got to say it actually performs better than my Lodge cast iron and I can't find an ounce of research that shows that this was made poorly in China which sometimes has traces of lead in their cast iron. I strictly do not buy from China because they are a terrible terrible place but environmental restrictions have started to force them to make better products and this product is one of those. You will not be disappointed, I cooked bacon and sausage on night number one right over a campfire at home and then left it outside for a week with a slight film of oil to see if it would oxidized and it held the oil quite well which tells me it's casting is good. Buy it or by 10 you won't be disappointed.

Even reviews didn’t prepare me for the size
A fiend cooked on his skillet that he said was 20". I took his word for it and ordered this. His was absolutely NOT 20”. Where his sits perfectly inside the lip of my burner, this one hangs way over.I’m now trying to figure out how to safely cook in this on an outdoor burner.Great skillet, and the size will be great, but it will require special handling.

The mother of all pans
All I cook with is cast iron pans. All my cooking is done outdoors, never use the kitchen. Either cook on a outdoor propane camp stove or on a fire. Bought this pan mainly for bacon. Usually do 4lbs at a time. This pan is perfect. Takes a while to heat up but when it does it's perfect. Came perfectly seasoned. This pan should last forever as long as I properly care for it. I know how to clean & season cast iron so it should be good until I'm gone

Well worth the money- if the shipping were free
This is a good sized pan. I have an extremely busy schedule so this pan saves me alot of time- I can cook 2 weeks worth of food for the kids rather than having to cook for them EVERY night. I have large feet (size 15) and I find there's PLENTY of room to soak both mine and my wifes feet after a long day at work.

Disappointing
This pan was great for size, but as I heated it up a crack appeared from the top to the base of the pan by the handle

To Heavy To Handle
This is one big pan. The description is accurate--it very well made pan and really large. In fact I couldn't hardly lift it. I knew once I got food in it I would not be able to control it. I bought it to go in our oven but it wouldn't fit either. So unfortunately I had to return it.

NOT! Ready out of the box
Out of the box it's VERY! Rough and you might find some deeper pits. With this item you will need to sand I started with 80 grit and finished with 220 and a good re-season. Being that said I knew that going into this buy this is my second item from King Kooker I have a 10gl pot also. I mainly buy Lodge which are not that smooth ether but not this Bad :) BUT, this is the Only 20inch skillet being made I think?? I look around with no luck so I was willing to do the work to get a decent large skillet. They say cast iron as the years pass by and usage get smoother and better but this ONE would probably take about 1000 years jaja!! "give or take". It is shipped in a thin cardboard box from King Kooker with a picture on it Sooo very body knows what you ordered "jajaja!" with no added padding or foam inside so who knows how it will arrive mine arrived Ok.

It honestly looks like a prop from a movie where a giant would ...
First off you should be aware just how large this thing is. It honestly looks like a prop from a movie where a giant would be cooking children. I would think that a 16" or 17" would be a better size for most people looking to upsize their 12" skillet. It will not fit in a regular size oven and will take up the majority of a standard sized stovetop. The entire stovetop. They claim that it is pre seasoned but I am never happy with a factory pre-seasoning on my cast iron. Not being able to put it in the oven complicates this process so I had to season it on my 22" Weber grill. And it will consume the entire grill. The handle will stick over the edge but you can still get the job done. All of that being said, it is a well made pan. You can sear a tremendous amount of meat or pan fry enough fish or chicken for 8 to 12 people at one time. I purchased it because I cook steaks in a cast iron pan (blazing hot) on the grill. I could only get 2 ribeye's in a 12" pan. This will hold 6 easy. So if you need a cast iron pan for preparing very large quantities of food at one time, this could be for you. If not, I would recommend a smaller size. Additionally, it is not going to fit in any of your cabinets. Not even close.

It huge
Even though I immediately returned this pan, I give it 5 stars. I did not even use it. It was my own negligence for not comprehending what a 20” cast iron pan looks like and weighs. It was enormous. I returned this 20” pan and got a 14”, which was more practical for my use.
