It says 48 ounce. Isnt that a 3 pound hammer?

48oz/16oz(per pound) = 3lbs Unless my math is wrong. If my math is wrong it is a 27lb hammer.

How can this be “made in the usa” if it says “country of origin china” in the description? the one i bought doesn’t have “estwing” on it anywhere

Mine is made in the United States. I assume that they still are.

Is this 3 lbs total weight? Or just 3lbs for the head weight?

The entire hammer weighs 3 pounds 14 oz. meaning the head weight must be 3 pounds.

Is the handle oil resistant?9

I wouldn't soak it, but I use mine for automotive work all the time and it hasn't degraded at all
