Worked perfectly and a very simple installation for anyone with mechanical skills. My old cable showed 15ft 6in stamped on the case. I was tempted to buy the 15 ft. After reading the measurement instructions I ordered a 16 ft cable. Worked perfectly although 6” longer than my original cable. The only bummer was my existing steering wheel will not work. I had to order a new steering wheel.

Showed up fast. Works great.
Product arrived quickly and was exactly as advertised. Work like a charm. Had to take motor off of the boat to install it, but that isn't the product's fault. That's the only reason I gave it a slightly lower rating because it wanted me to rate ease of installation.

Works good, easy install. Easy instructions, read them 1st and install.
Fairly east install, smooth as butter (Edit) So it did work great the first year, over the winter, although thoroughly greased with marine grease it locked up. I needed a hammer to break it loose again, and now you have to be the hulk to turn the wheel. It was stored outside under a cover, so damn but not wet. Not sure what I'll replace it with. I live a 1/4mi from the ocean however this wasnt never in salt water.

Cable itself is just fine.. but.. big but.. make sure your helm will fit.. in my case my old helm gear was narrower than the gearing on this cable head.. talked to tech support, (which by the way is helpfull) said i had two ways to go.. order the right cable and try to exchange.. or order a new helm (my helm is tilt and the straight helm that comes with this would not work).. i opted to order a new helm due to the fact i just spend a couple hours crawling and banging my head to get the old cable out and this one it.. :) said and done, i'm happy!
