CafePod Wholebean Instant Coffee Supercharger Tin 100g (Pack of 6)

I used to drink this 'supercharger' blend in it's ground beans form that was to be brewed up in a cafetiere. It's a breakfast 'wake-up' blend though, and I couldn't be bothered with all that preparatory palaver half the time when I was more preoccupied with rushing out the door for work. Now I have discovered it in this powdered instant coffee form it is ideal for when I'm in a rush. I don't believe the hype about the number systems for strengths of coffee though. Many companies that market coffee attribute strength numbers to their own various blends that may bear no resemblance to that same number used by another company. The numbers were originally supposed to denote caffeine levels but there is no longer any certainty of that being adhered to at all. This particular 'CafePod' blend is nice and punchy with a taste that lends itself to being consumed as a black-no-frills coffee. However it's strength is of a much lower value than '12' in my opinion, and may be more on a par with what others might have attributed a strength '7' or '8' to. I'm not knocking it as I like the taste and it does rev me up, but it is not as potent as the strength level may lead us to believe. I do wish that 'CafePod' could produce their blends 'Havana' and 'Double Black' in an instant coffee form though, because they are truly my two favourite blends from the company for sale as ground coffee beans for preparation in cafetieres and Mocha pots. If the company can create an instant coffee out of 'Supercharger' they must surely be able to do the same with 'Havana' and 'Double Black' too.Eamonn

I ordered this for my husband who likes his coffee strong, I mean reeeaaaaally strong (I’m happy with Douwe Eggberts). Now it’s value for money, I’ll grant you that, 6 tins for £12. BUT it is most definitely not strong! It’s on a par with Kenco Americano. Even I had a heaped spoonful and didn’t think anything of it. It’s tasty enough for the average Joe and a good deal, but if you’re looking for a strong coffee I’d go for something else.

A strong tasting instant coffee. I normally drink coffee from my dualit ese machine but if I’m in a hurry this is a good alternative. It is also good value if you buy it in the multipack. Would buy again.

Cafepod wholebean instant coffee supercharger is a real deal ,I got it delivered within a couple of days !best value for money I will recommend it to anyone who needs a supercharger .This coffee keeps me going for my long 12 hour shift very tasty and smooth . Doesn’t quite deliver what it claims in terms of strength and taste. But a bargain and would definitely buy it again.

Reasonable coffee at a good price.

Much better than expected, after reading some reviews. The taste is good, with a smooth taste and rich in flavour. For the price, £1 per tin, it is exceptional value. The strength is good and keeps me going through the day.

The value for money when I got these was very good. I was able to get them for £1 each. Flavour is also very nice, (be wary that it is a very strong flavour)
