Great U-Lock even in the rain.Pros:The long length has come in handy on numerous occasionsThe hardened steel will stand up to anything short of a very determined effort with a grinder or some extremely intense bolt cuttersThough it does eventually get corroded and rusty, it took much longer than other locks and operated in spite of it for quite a whileCons:Keys were not the easiest to use and get to turnThe plastic mounting piece just wasn't useful in essentially any way on my bikeIts a bike lock like most U-locks but definitely on the better and more worthwhile end of the pack

For a quick ride or errands, this Ulock is good. Easy to install and use. Seems to be solid for what's it worth. Able to lock bike frame and back wheel. Got an extra bike cable to lock the quick release front wheel on it. Great buy.

It's a decent lock. I needed an extra long one and this was the best priced one at the time. It's solid enough and for the few weeks I've been using it seems to work well enough. I don't use the mounting bracket, so I don't have an opinion about that. But in order to close the lock, you have to get it to line up just right. Often when locking it to a rack or a pole you have to get it at just the right angle, and I've been frustrated on multiple occasions trying to get it to close. Often being late made it that much more frustrating to try to get your lock to close. I think I've figured to line up the lock at an angle even with both sides, then straighten it to get it to slide closed.Anyway, it's Okay (like the 3 stars mean) but be aware you might have a couple moments of frustration through you time with it.Pro:Extra LongReasonable PriceCon:Difficult to close at times

The lock itself is great. The warranty comes with a few caveats including you not being able to lose any of the keys. I gave it 4 stars because the plastic holder is completely oversized for the lock and dangles around freely.Update: 12/04/16, just took the bike and lock out. Jumped off a small elevation of about 6 inches and the bracket for the lock snapped off and broke. Went down to 3 stars on account of the bracket being absolute garbage.

the u-lock was really more difficult to mount on my bike than i thought it would be, but it is awesome now that I have it on there. You can feel the heavy-duty strength and no one is going to go through the trouble to get this lock off. there are no directions for the mount, but masterlock website has a decent pdf directions. Overall exactly what i was looking for. This should last a lifetime. However, be aware that the length can make it difficult to mount to some frames. it took me some adjusting, but I made it fit just right.

Good quality

This is a terrible lock. Terrible. From the get go it was always difficult to lock as the U was not a clean fit into the locking mechanism. After 3 months the little red keyhole sliding plastic piece broke off. And this week after 6 months of use the entire lock broke - key would not complete the turn and had to remove wheel from bike. Finally opened but key is now permanently stuck inside lock. Terrible do not buy.

I live in a building where one of my bikes was stolen and I got a Master Lock to protect the replacement. The criminal tried to steal the second bike and must have worked hard because he broke the lock in three places but still did not get my bike free. Thank you Master Lck.

lock seems to be of good quality. however, the locks continually slips off its holder (not happy about that while it's falling off when I ride my bike) and there wasn't much instructions the arm mechanism of the carrier... after inspecting it out with my bf, we established that my bike frame is too slim for the lock carrier and i'll have to find a way to adjust it for future use. Still, I wish that there were better instructions piecing together the lock carrier.

The lock itself is, of course, flawless - Master Lock's quality is unmatched. However, the main purpose of this purchase was for the convenient clip-on system. It doesn't work at all. It has fallen off every time, and I have of course secured it properly and with great care. Each time, I have been riding while the lock has fallen right out of its clip, and under my tires, making it very, VERY dangerous. I wouldn't buy it again, and I encourage you to stay away from this one.

Once it totally got frozen into ice. (I'm using my bike everyday in montreal). Since I put white grease, have not get stuck once.

Like it a lot. Fits perfectly wherever I lock it.
