The makers of these were not kidding when they describe these as real binoculars for little kids. These are comparable in quality and features to many low-cost adult binoculars. They changed out the housing for a heavy duty plastic body that has bright colors and is more suitable to the sorts of treatment they might be expected to receive from a child, but it still has real glass lenses a solid focus control, and real eyepieces with nice rubber cups and an eyepiece adjustment to help balance out the focus. The strap is just a basic lanyard, but these are for kids and they have to cut expenses somewhere. I would definitely recommend these if you have a kid who wants "real" binoculars instead of the cheap plastic things that come with those explorer toy kits or that you get as a free promotion at fairs and baseball games.

Bought these for our 2 year old grandson as he was fascinated with our regular size ones. Yes he was too young for them but he’s working on it! They’re cute and light weight so WHEN he drops them on my foot it doesn’t hurt!

I bought several of these - for all the kids in the extended family.They are small, but actually work really well.

This item is not recommended for an 8 year old as recommended in the description. It was purchased for a very bright and articulate 8 year old boy. It was misleading.

These were purchased for a week’s vacation at a cabin on the lake. Perfect for my 8 year old son to view wildlife and birds.

my 3,4,&5 yr old granchildren love these. Adults could use them as well,not to big not to small and you can see pretty far for being for kids.
