Turn up the Heat with G. Garvin

A very very nice cookbook from and by G.Garvin. I’ve been watching G.Garvin for more than 16 years and I love his work and his cooking show. I’ve watched this guy back even before I started cooking and he’s totally awesome and the recipes he make on his tv special Turn up The Heat is awesome too. Sometimes I find him to loud and almost corny but he’s still one of the best at what he does and that’s all that matters the most. This cookbook is great and I will be purchasing his other cookbook soon.

I am one of those people who would never spend an entire day watching celebrity chefs at work on tv. But on one lazy Sunday with my special guy :) I watched Chef Garvin prepare some delish meals! At the end of the marathon, I found myself ordering two copies of turn up the heat with G. Garvin.One thing I really enjoy about his cookbooks is the photographs and the G notes. The recipes are geared towards home cooks and are fairly simple. They include ingredients that are easy to find and not too expensive. A definite plus! A couple of the recipes that really caught my eye are shitake mushroom chicken ravioli (my choice for our G. Garvin date night) and grilled leg of lamb with black truffle grits and porcini mushrooms. My guy has chosen to experiment with the Paella recipe...yummy but no can do seeing that I'm allergic to some shellfish *pouting*.

I ordered the book after watching his TV cooking show....love it!!!!

I love "G. Garvin", he is an awesome chef! I have bought his other cookbooks, and they have been awesome as well. Every recipe that I have tried from this cookbook is so good! Nothing disappoints! A great buy!

After watching his television show on TV One, he makes the recipes look so "super simple" I couldn't wait for him to publish his cook book, Turn Up the Heat with G. Garvin. To date I have only tried a few of the recipes but I am looking forward to trying more of his delectable dishes. For a person like me who does like to cook he makes the food look impressive and appealing. The reason why I only gave the book four stars is because some recipes which were prepared for demonstration purposes on television were not necessarily included in the book and color photos illustrating presentation would have been appreciated.

This book offers easy recipes to prepare and they are my favorites. Anything that I decide to cook, the recipe is in this book. I just love this book. Thank you Mr. Garvin.
