Exciting sequel
This is an exciting sequel for this series. The action keeps moving and it is hard to believe it has only been a few weeks since Sky and Shawn escaped from North Compound. They have faced some serious danger in this dystopian future of America as they figure out what it means to have been lied to their entire lives, and to confront the reality that humans have caused all of the problems. They also have to face the fact that the dinosaurs are there to stay now, so the sect of humans above ground are working to live in the best harmony possible. Things are getting intense now that Sky has accomplished her mission to get the flash drive to the right person. Now the kids need to fit in and learn to live a new life above ground...but will it end in peace, or destruction?

Youth to the rescue
This book really uses the future/ apocalyptic world self-created by society's ambition helps engage the reader. Then the dinosaurs come out to change the story! So cool to read and be in the shoes of the youth trying to change the world. The geographic description of the location appeals to the reader as well.

Great Book
Best book for middle school children. It has an exciting twist of one of the main characters, who is thought to be dead but is alive.

Exciting story, even for an adult!!
My 10-yr old grandson turned me on to this two-book series. This is not just a kid's book!!! I love the fast pace and storyline. Everything seems plausible in a world 150 years from now. The character development and descriptions keep me engaged. The author has done quite a bit of research on dinosaurs which adds to the uniqueness of the story.

Awesome!
I read this book out loud with my kids and husband. We had just as much trouble putting this one down as we did the first one! My kids love dinosaurs and finding good stories for my teens that aren't complete encyclopedias or too childish is difficult! Great edge of your seat adventure with a satisfying conclusion!
