Campbell’s Beef Gravy, 10.5 oz Can

I used this the other day to make my own poutine. It kinda seemed like it needed a bit of kick to improve the taste for a poutine and so I improvised and added some smoked paprika, sea salt, pepper, a dab of heavy cream with a little beef broth and fresh basil. I pretty much just improvised and tasted it at I went along. Turned out really good with the cheese curds I had; even better than the st Hubert sauce packets I’d buy from Canada. I would definitely do it again. With the stupid tariffs we all gotta force ourselves to be more creative. Most important thing when your cooking sauce is to use a low heat and keep on stirring as you meld in each ingredient. Oh I’m forgetting; fresh parmesan flakes; I also mixed in a bit of that (just enough to compliment the sauce without overpowering the beef flavor)

Every once in a while, I try store brand instead of the Campbell's, and I always regret it. This gravy summons me, though- it calls me back with its siren song of deliciousness. It's also usually either cheaper or the same price on Amazon as it is at supermarkets, so that's handy. AND for some reason, Walmart seems to only sometimes carry it, so it's cool to be able to get it at a good price online

The product deserves 5 stars, it's that good. I ordered it because my local big box store hasn't had their store brand in stock in quite a while. I found that the Campbell's brand is so much better then the store brand I usually buy so I'll be ordering online again.

This gravy isn't that great, but it is super convenient. If you eat it at room temp it's extra unbearable so make sure you heat it up. It's serviceable but not recommended, there are better options.
