LufkinL1135B Home Hand Tools Measuring & Layout Tapes

Really like the visibility of this double sided tape. Can see it from 20 feet away. Extends farther that any Stanley I've owned. Says drop tested to 100 feet, while I haven't tried that, it took a 20 foot drop on concrete no problems other than a scratch. It's still new and the tape itself is thick so it doesn't retract fast but seems to get faster the more you use it.

As a contractor I’ve had many different tape measures. I’d loose one, then go get another, but trying a different brand. What caught my attention was Lufkin’s color. The black tape and green numbers looks cool and much easier to read. The tip works great as it’s metal and easily hooks to a wall. Tape can be stretched out and does have a slight bend. Size and weight is just right, sits well on my belt, and has a good grip.

Quality build. Very easy to use. Looks great. Lock feature is functional and easy to use. Durable tape and very easy to see.

This tape looks great, feels great and is easy to read.My only problem is that it couldn't last one day in the field. The retractor mechanism stops with 10' left and one of the times it did retract it kinked, cracked the tape and cut me.The tape sat for a while before I used it so I don't think I can even return or get a replacement.Very Disappointed.

Fantastic tape measure!!!! I don’t know why it took me this long to just order it on Amazon! At the home improvement stores it’s about $1 a foot! Saved so much buying it on Amazon! I feel bad that it will probably put mom and pop stores out of business but hey, everything is so expensive now. It adds up!

Although this is a decent tape measure, it is not as durable as advertised. Anything past 6 feet and it collapses.

The standout isn't as good as rated, but still better than competition. It's the same old story. Even good products lie when they advertise. Sad. This thing is too heavy to carry in a tool bag (considering weight of everything else) so you should get a smaller/shorter one if you're carrying it around all the time. In a garage or truck where weight isn't important, this thing is king. It packs many features that you'll ACTUALLY USE that other brands and models lack. The attention placed on anti-glare surfacing and dark-light visibility is very much appreciated. That's just a couple examples of why this is a good choice. If you find a store to check this thing out next to competitors, you'll know what I mean. I in no way benefit from writing this review, at least initially, but I'm just putting this out there to help others so that hopefully others will be motivated to give honest reviews about other things so that I'm more informed when I buy stuff. Finally one of my purchases is a win. I had to be pretty harsh on my last several reviews because of how many corners were cut when designing the products.
