This book is well organized with detailed information on pasture management for horses! From concepts of the chemistry involved, to parts of plants, nutritional information, soil information etc it is a wonderfully organized well thought out text book! There are review questions, photos, and reference materials throughout so its not just an author presenting an opinion which we all too often find in the horse world!I highly recommend this book! Just keep in mind it is very detailed-if its overly detailed for your needs its organized in such a way you *could* pick and choose the information you are needing-.

It is not really suitable for general equine owners with small paddocks and 1-2 hacking horses. Thee are more condensed, cheaper and simpler books available for that niche
