Festool497709 Accessory Kit for Carvex Jigsaw

You get the angle cutter adapter and a set of sole plates that allow you to use your jigsaw to its best on multiple surfaces. Of course the extra sole plates are not required but air conditioning in your car isn't either but it sure is nice to have. But really, the dimpled plates is great if you have a lot of sawdust build up on your work surface and the metal plate is good if you are cutting sheet metal etc.

I cannot give a review of this particular product since it was purchased along with the Festool Jig Saw. I returned both of these products. The Festool Jig Saw is a Great Product; it was just a little heavy for me to handle. I am sure this product is equally well made.

Good items that are cheaper than buying them separately. most are pretty useful, really wish that this set came with a plate that could be angled. it has a butterfly base but you only get half a plate when you go to do an angled cut

I wanted to cut a circle so I got the whole kit. Ill eventually need everything so why not get it.All my other festool stuff is in metric but the tape for the circle guide is in imperial, cracked me up a bit.

With this kit, the only thing my Carvex can not do is cook for me. I can not imagine anything else I can add to the saw. I am very pleased with this kit.

This tool kit makes the Carvex the tool to own. The base plates cover just about every situation and material you will run into, and really makes the tool really cool!!!

I'm annoyed that to cut bevels or to undercut scribes I had to buy a separate base for my jigsaw (which I do think is amazing).The bevel base is around $100 so this kit SEEMS very good value for money considering you get a systainer.There is a tracksaw attachmentHowever am I really likely to use a jigsaw on my tracksaw's track I doubt it very much? If I had a festool track and tracksaw then I'd use that over a jigsaw.The bevel base is horrible to use, its is uniquely useless. It folds around the blade so that you either have to make 2 cuts or risk using half the support base. Which I can't get used to.I didn't try the circle cutter because I have no need to cut big perfect circles in my profession.The rest of the multi surface bases inserts....are they necessary? I doubt it.The anti-splinter inserts are brilliant though.
