The first thing you notice when you turn on the GooDee sound bar is the very load foreign voice telling you the mode your in which is a little difficult to understand and requires listening for a key word like pair and FM, i also notice a small hiss when the sound bar was idle even when the volume was muted.After playing some high res music files via a wired connection i personally found the audio quality to be very good.All that being said there are some glaring usability issues that that need to be addressed in a future model.Firstly the sound bar doesn't remember the last volume you used meaning that every time you switch on the sound bar you are blasted with a very high volume voice (you can't turn down) and audio volume set to it's original loud position, so you have to hold the volume button down to achieve a reasonable sound level which also doesn't work until your in the correct mode.Secondly there is no indication as to what volume you are currently at so you have to guess what the volume is and as previously mentioned if your in the wrong mode turning down the volume doesn't work, which makes the whole experience very uncomfortable difficult to use.Over all the GooDee sound bar delivers very good audio for the price but gives you a very difficult user experience and doesn't seem to have an ip rating for outside use either. i am personally unable to use the GooDee sound bar for everyday use at home and will have to purchase a second different sound bar a better user experience. Unfortunately this means i am unable to recommend this product until the basic user issues are fixed.

I bought this soundbar for my TV to improve the quality of its sound. The item arived very quickly and as described. I followed the instructions to connect it with my TV but it didn't work. After switching cables forward and back I was still unsuccessfull. The Amazon helpline suggested to reset the soundbar but nothing changed. I finally realised that the cables need to be connected with the BT box and not with the TV. And that you have to change the settings of your TV to external speaker. And charge the soundbar first! None of this was in the description.At last the soundbar was connected and I was happy because the sound of the TV is much clearer and easier to hear. But the hassle continued. The remote doesn't work properly, the soundbar cannot be switched on by pressing the button. You have to do this directly at the soundbar. You are then greeted by a loud computer voice which tells you which mode is on ("AUX input mode"). All my attempts to reduce the loudness of this anouncement failed. Another problem turned up when I check the programs of my TV by using the guide feature. By changing from one program to the next the mode of the soundbar changes as well which leaves you without any sound and the computer voice announcement of "bluetooth mode"! You have to change back to the AUX mode by clicking on the remote but the same things happen again and again whenver you choose a TV program from the guide page. Just frustrating! I also noticed that the battery doesn't last very long, so you best have the soundbar plugged in all the time. Unfortunately the provided cable is so super short that you have to have a socket directly behind the soundbar to connect it. I had to buy an extension just for this.A clear "no recommendation" for this soundbar. I am sure there are better and easier to use products on the market.

Update following posting my First Comment below - I received an immediate response from Support, apologies for the difficulties I had experienced, an offer of a full refund.However, the more important point is that Support has undertaken to feed back my comments to their Development team back at base - marked Urgent! we need a decent User Interface.In view of the excellent Support response, I have revised my rating to 4 stars.First comment:I wanted a low-end sound bar for our LG TV. The native speakers were never strong, but are fading while the picture remains good.I followed the fairly sketchy instructions for TV mode, but got no joy.Under TV Mode, Note 3 - refer to 3.5 mm-RCA mode connect method.Did this and changed Mode - got nothing apart from horrendous noise in one mode.Did this endless time over several days - no joy.This morning, did final check before returning and it worked!Sound reasonably good - crisper than native speakers.Remote control in line with cheap end - works OK.So, will hold off returning for a day-or-two.Couldn't recommend unless you have pretty good tech skills!

It doesn't work straight from the box with all TVs as stated. Couldn't get this to work at first as my LG Smart TV 24" only has optical or HDMI output and this relies on a headphone socket output. Had a brainwave and a quick search and found a optical output converter for about £7 which allows you to use both a headphone socket or left/right sockets with a HDMI power lead which you plug into the tv - which means you might to use another USB lead and plug for a mains socket for the sound bar if you only have the 1 USB socket on your tv like I have.If I've made it sound complicated, it really isn't. The soundbar itself is really easy to set up. I put the left/right sockets into converter (purely for cosmetic purposes so the soundbar connectors and wires were all black) and put the other end in the auxillary port. Set the TV to sound out optical output and it worked.The sound is fantastic. I only have it in the bedroom for using with a tinny TV for films/Netflix etc and Spotify paired with the phone and on the TV but I would be more than happy with having this in the living room too.Very happy with it. Great price too.
