the ad says 24 oz but the picture shows a 9 oz bottle like the one at the petstore. which is it?

It's 24 oz / 680 grams. They have the wrong picture here. I've ordered it a few times.

How long will this keep? I only use about 10 small (1/4 inch) crickets a week, so I'm wondering if this will end up rotting and going to waste.

Once the container is open, keep the jar in the refrigerator. As long as you keep it cool and moist they shouldn't go bad on you. I use them for meal worms. A jar usually last me a month or two depending on how much I feed them. I have yet to have them get close to rotting or going bad.

does this have vitamin d3 in it?

No it does not have d3. Crude protein, crude fat, crude fiber, and moisture is the analysis on the container.
