For the price I am very happy with the product. The directions only show the different parts on the machine. I was a sewing beginner so I went on-line where there is a video that shows you how to use it. Before long I was sewing and completed my project quickly. Can't wait to use it again! Review: Broke almost Immediately - This sewing machine, while small and cute, is awful. You cannot do a reverse stitch (even manually). The instructions are not easy to understand. There are no instructions on how to thread the machine. It broke on second use, not the needle...the actual machine.
