After several years our dog knocked the camera off a table sending the 1st V1s flash to its death. Like the flash so much I ordered another. Big upcoming family event and this vendor sent it out pronto so it's ready to go. Highly recommend the flash, and this vender delivered as promised. All new factory packaging.

I've owned the Nikon versions of these, and now I am on my 3rd Sony Version because the other two broke with minimal usage. The Nikon versions were fantastic. They were built well, they stay on the camera well, great flash for less money then buying a profoto flash. BUT for whatever reason this Sony Version is built SO FLIMSY!!!!...All I did was pick up my camera from my camera strap, and as I brought it up, the hot shoe snapped off the bottom. I didn't even do it fast! That has happened TWICE to me while shooting events. Luckily I have my Nikons as backups but I'm hoping to switch to Sony soon and these do not seem like viable options for me...Not sure what else I can do...

The battery lasts a while, it’s relatively easy to learn how to use, and does a great job at evening out lighting or adding light to any exposure. Great buy!!

I’ve had my eye on this flash for a while and tons of people have recommended! This flash lives up to the hype!!! The different settings are amazing and the battery life lasts hours! It does add some weight to ur camera but I wouldn’t recommend any other flash

My wife and I both use a Godox V1s when shooting wedding receptions. It's lightweight, affordable, and produces high-quality light. We also use a Profoto A1x (which cost like 4 times what this Godox flash costs) but over time that flash will throw an error code on our camera telling us that it isn't a supported accessory so we also carry the Godox as a spare.Pros:This flash is the best price/performance flash we have ever used. We love it so much that we tell anybody else using Sony that this is pretty much THE flash. It also can be used as a wireless transmitter for other flashes in Godox's line of off-camera flashes such as the AD200. From this flash you can control 3 other strobes wirelessly, which coming from a Paul C Buff Alienbee setup is a massive upgrade. This flash also has a modeling light which we often will use as continuous lighting from somebody else's camera to take moody pictures of details around the room.Cons:The build quality of this flash, specifically the hot shoe, leaves a LOT to be desired. We have had it go bad on us 3 times this year alone. We always have at least one replacement (which can be found at B&H or Amazon) on hand at all times. With that being said, it's held onto the flash by 4 phillips-head and a ribbon cable so if you know how to use a screw drive and some tweezers you are fully capable of fixing it yourself in just over a minuteBottom line:It's a great flash that gives you plenty of room to grow into using strobes and doing multi-point lighting. Yeah, it is a little fragile, but at the price that we paid for ours that's a risk we are more than willing to take

After reading over the manual I captured a few test shots of my chocolate lab🥰 I have the Sony A7 1V and the flash works well in TTL, Manual, Aperture settings so far. Looking forward to using a lot. I also have the Godox diffuser it snaps right on (magnetic)Will come back to let you know how long a full battery works

I have used this for my sony alpha 6400 with and without godox wireless trigger. Built quality is very good. Battery backup is also good.

Light distribution is much more uniform than V860 and whites calibration is perfect

The base of this is very weak. It did not even last 01 full year. From day one the flimsy plastic made it feel very unprofessional and at this price point it is useless to buy such cheap plastic made device for professional use.They are fooling people with the models AD100 pocket and this one. The design of V1s is not a success at all.BUY A CHEAPER ON CAMERA FLASH AND BUY A EXPENSIVE OFF CAMERA FLASH UNIT BUT NOT WITH A BASE FOR MOUNTING ON CAMERA.

As i have used a few godox speedlights before it was not easy to operate! and i dont think any godox speedlights are uneasy to use! if you read the manual properly you will get an idea how to use it! The Lithium ion is a big step up comparing to the other flashes! The speedlight works well and the recycling time is very cool too! the only thing now i felt could have been improved was the center dial which seems to be a bit jugglish! i got it an hour back! used it indoor tried a few shots! the modelling lamp is also a great deal for the price ! it is bright enough! this is the initial feedback that i can give! so after using it more only i can give a proper review of it! But an amazing product value for 15K
