Very large cone
We bought this to process our meat chickens. They ranged between 5 and 7!pounds and were too small for this cone. I had to hold them the entire time or they would have fallen through and these were large meaty chickens. During the second use, I used a burlap bag which was more comfortable for the chickens and held them in the cone better. I recommend this product if you use a burlap or canvas bag to take up the extra space and prevent bruising of the animal. Otherwise, size down if your birds are 6 to 7 pounds or less (4 to 5 lbs dressed.)

Large is too big for ducks
I ordered the large size because i have some fat rouen ducks but even those guys were almost slipping out the bottom hole. Would recommend a smaller size.

Fits the bill
WARNING, GRAPHIC DETAIL NOT FOR THE SQUEAMISH OR VEGETARIANS: Read at your own risk. This cone should do the job nicely. Unfortunately, our turkeys were overgrown, so the breast did not fit down into the mouth of the cone. We would need an XXL, but that is certainly no fault of the cone's. We used instead a burlap bag with a hole cut in it, and hung the birds by their feet with heads sticking out the hole. Next year we will plan better. Regardless, this method of harvesting turkeys is much more peaceful and humane than the hatchet method we used to use. This was the first time using a restraining method and simply slitting the jugular or carotid, rather than chopping off the head. The birds hardly struggled, and went pretty peacefully from coop to freezer, as long as we didn't cut the windpipe accidentally. We will use this again, and would recommend it to a friend.

Large cone is a bit too large for most Rhode Island Reds/Buff Orpingtons
We bought the large cone and it came quickly and in good condition. We raise Rhode Island Reds and Buff Orpingtons and found this is actually a bit too big for all but the largest roosters. For the smaller roosters and all the hens, we had to wrap them in a towel before inserting then into the cone. Otherwise they had a tendency to slip out of the bottom after they jerked in their death throws. So this is good for very large roosters and small turkeys I would assume (probably guineas too), but for most regular sized roosters and hens comparable to Rhode Island Reds/Buff Orpingtons, I would get the medium size. Very happy with it outside of the size.

It made processing easy
Couldn’t believe how quick it was to process 10 chickens. I highly recommend

Great cone for big birds.
I use this cone for cornish rocks. If you use for under 5 pound chickens, there is the possibility that the bird slips out the bottom. For 6,7 or 8 pound birds, it works very well.

Awesome seller. Great product.
It's a little bigger then I expected, but it will work. My broilers seem to be right in between a medium and a large. The seller was awesome. They made sure to get my order shipped to me extremely fast. Will do business with them again.

It was worth the purchase
Used this on our Cornish Cross Rooster. It helped get the job done. Only did not leave a deasent neck space. Maybe our bird was quite large in the breast and I needed to stretch the neck a bit.
