Most comfortable socks I have ever worn
These socks are incredible. It just feels like a spa day for my feet every time I put them on. My feet stay warm all winter long even on the cold tile floors in our kitchen.I recently bought a six pack of costco merino socks and they are such a disappointment... feet feel cold and clammy. I think I spoiled myself with cloudline but now there is no turning back and despite the price, I do not want to take another chance with a different brand just to save a few bucks. I so look forward to the day in my sock rotation that my cloudlines come up.Also, customer service is second to none. The costco socks were to replace two pair of cloudlines that had developed holes in the ball of the foot (likely an issue with my shoes). I have been putting up with cold and clammy feet from inferior socks for three months now and enough was enough.I came back to make the purchase today and saw in the details that they have a lifetime warranty. So, I went to their website and made a simple inquiry stating that I had recycled the holey socks a couple of months back and was wondering if I could still take advantage of the warranty. Within in minutes, I had a reply in my inbox saying they could forego the usual requirement of pictures this one time and get a replacement in the mail to me after sending my Amazon order numbers and confirming my shipping address. Unbelievable. These are now my goto Christmas gift for any adults on my list.

Great socks and the XL size is perfect
I wear a size 14 wide shoe, and it is very hard to find high quality socks that keep my feet dry and comfortable. I used to buy Merrell XL socks but they stopped making them a few years ago so I turned to Amazon and ordered about 6 different brands to try out. The Cloudline socks were the only ones that fit comfortably, especially around the ankle and calf - all the other brands I tried dug in painfully at the top of the sock. I think these socks are just so much more soft and stretchy, it makes them more comfortable to wear for a variety of foot sizes.I have now had Cloudline socks for a couple years and they are still in great condition (even though I do toss them in the dryer on delicate occasionally). On top of that, I have ordered directly from the company a couple times and their customer service is absolutely outstanding. The two styles I buy and love are the XL light cushion 1/4 running sock, and the XL medium cushion hiking sock. The medium cushion overall is a bit stretchier than the light cushion (more fabric makes it easier to spread out a bit more I guess), so it is extremely comfortable around my calves for the taller hiking sock style.

The only sock I'll wear.
I wear these daily for work and for hiking. Super comfortable, long lasting, keeps my feet cool and dry. The fit is perfect and I never deal with issues of falling down socks.

Good hiking socks
I purchased the Cloudline Merino Wool socks for my upcoming backpacking trips. The material is genuine and the merino wool felt awesome, probably one of the most comfortable hiking socks I ever owned. I machine washed and air dried the pair, which took about 2 hours. I didn't sense any texture degradation after the wash.I took it out for a day hike and it worked nicely. The socks fit nicely to my feet (I purchased a medium and my size is 9~9.5 US). It kept my feet dry after 14 hours of arduous hiking with a minimal smell in my boots. In general, I am satisfied with the product.

My days of cheap crappy socks are over!
So, first you should know that I have mostly always viewed socks as a place where I could go cheap. I had some dollar amount in my mind as "this is how much socks should be" and I just refused to cross it. But last year a person selling me hiking boots explained the logic of buying a slightly too large boot and filling the space with cushiness, so I bought a pair of Darn Tough socks with a little padding. And those were nice, you know, but they were a bit shorter than I might have liked, and not super soft, and not super squishy. So, I must have caught myself at the right moment to let this pricier sock purchase happen. But you know what? I am a changed persin, and this Cloudline sock is what did it.These babies are SO soft, perfectly squishy, not knee high but a perfect height so I never have to worry about it slipping below the top of my ankle-covering boot. Heck, these socks were so comfy the second I put them on that I just wanted to walk around in them. I will probably get more just to serve as winter slippers around the house. Seriously, you don't know what cozy, happy feet feel like til you wear these. I'm a convert :)

Comfortable black socks that cushion and manage foot sweating very well
I really like these socks, they are exactly what I wanted! I'm a food server, I need the wool socks for the extra cushioning in my slip resistant work shoes. I was able to wear these socks to help make my new shoes more comfortable and the wool doesn't make my feet smelly from all the sweating when I work 10 hour shifts and am on my feet and moving about the whole time. The pedometer on my phone tells me that I am averaging 5miles a day of walking while I am at work and these socks keep my feet from getting sweaty and stinky. I don't know how it works that they wick the sweat away ..but they do! These socks are very soft and extra comfortable. Plus, I love the black color, because black socks are part of my uniform requirements. These socks will not disappoint you if your feet sweat alot and you need more padded feeling than other socks made from different materials. :-)

Decent socks, but not worth the high price
I had such high expectations for these socks after hearing such wonderful things about them (nevermind the high cost). Maybe it's just the fit on my feet, but I don't see how these are much better than other merino socks that are more economically priced. I bought the size XL since I wear a mens 12 to 13 depending on brands and have larger than average calves. But these socks seem to slip around on my foot and have a tendency to go crooked which drives me bonkers. They appear to be well made and good quality, but based on how they fit my feet and at such a high price point that leaves little room for error I just can't give them 5 stars. Maybe a Large would be a better option for my feet, but I fear they would fit too tightly. I give these an average three stars.

Really Nice
Really like these. they're slightly thick but not overly thick. they do help warm my feet that are always cold during winter months. they really do wick the sweat which is what keep my feet cold in common type socks.

Great socks that look after your feet.
I take euro 43 (US 9) ordered large and wish I had ordered medium. However, taking nothing away from what excellent socks they are. Pricey, but you can never spend too much on looking after your feet when your putting in long days hoofing it day after day on the trail. Exceptional socks. I wear sock liners (Injini toe) under and have always had super comfy feet on big mileagie days trekking. Love’em.

Comfortable when on feet
Great choice for a medium weight sock. Even when it gets warm the sock doesn't feel uncomfortable (like other similar weight/thickness of socks). I was on my feet for hours wearing these and was very comfortable.
