BAYCO LBC-100 Standard Incandescent Bulb Changer

Does exactly what it’s supposed to do. Grips a bulb hard and stable enough to hold it in place while inserting but not too hard that it breaks. You just have to be steady while inserting and removing. At the height it is intended to be used at, if you shake or seat the bulb precariously, bulb can fall and break. It fit into the pole I already had for my fruit picker!!

Not as steady on a ladder as I used to be. Did the job safely.

I’m a short, single gal with REALLY tall ceilings and nowhere to keep a sizable ladder. I have a little step ladder, but even when I stand on the tallest step, I still can’t reach my ceilings to change the bulbs. Thus, every time a lightbulb went out, I was forced to lure a man over 6’0 back to my apartment to change it for me. This resulted in no less than two (2) situationships I otherwise may not have been delusional enough to get myself into. Anyway, cue this lil product - my savior! I simply screwed it onto a Swiffer sweeper and changed my lightbulb in seconds; it was actually easier than I anticipated. Now I can go back to avoiding men like the plague :)

Works great on my overhead light using a 40w bulb.

Thankfully, it worked for the first set of lightbulbs I had to put in because I have to do many lightbulbs. I have to put 12 in in total and some recessed lighting fixtures. I only had four more lightbulbs to go, and now the thing is stuck in my ceiling so I still had more lightbulbs to put in and now I can’t even finish my job. I was so happy and relieved to know that it worked. I thought it would be smooth sailing since I only had four more lightbulbs ago. I’m very annoyed right now. I’m going to return this thing. If you do happen to buy this thing, which I don’t recommend, I would only use it for plastic lightbulbs. I don’t recommend it for glass lightbulbs because it feels very dangerous to pull lightbulbs in and out of this thing. I have mobility issues and I do not want to be on a stepladder. If this thing were made better, it would definitely help.

Amazing! Only 1 regular light bulb to change but 20 plus feet from floor. Could not use straight ladder since light bulb was attached to long standalone 2X4. Could have gotten a kit for $50 or so but that's a lot to change 1 light bulb 1 time (and also doubted it would work). Instead, just got this head and mounted on collapsible rod I had for washing siding. The connections were different sizes but used plenty of duct tape to attach. Surprisingly it worked perfectly to remove old bulb and replace with new in 5 minutes for about $10.

Took it out of the package and stuck a 100 watt bulb in it and the spring holding the assembly together separated. Played around with it and found the spring connected like one of those Chinese finger cuffs, Finally managed to telescope the spring ends together and it appears secure. Used it to replace a ceiling bulb in the garage and it did the job. Guess I will probably worry in the future if I have another bulb in it, will the spring lets go and smashed glass everywhere,

Only main problem is it does not fit in normal stick, base hole of product is little small as such in normal stick available in market this product does not fit. This is the only issue. Otherwise product is good.

This product is a good idea but unfortunately it didn't work for me. It is also very expensive - £15 for a piece of plastic and a bit of metal threaded through - you have to either buy a pole separately or spend a further £20 for the matching pole just to change a light bulb that will probably only need replacing every 6 years or so ...! I bought it out of desperation because the lightbulb on my stairs has blown. It did fit to the separate pole I had to purchase but when I reached up to change the bulb, because it just dangles on a piece of flex, all it was doing was bending the flex wire. It will cost me too much more to return the product and I will just have to use a torch on the stairs in the dark for ever more.

Useless item. The ring is so small it wont fit a normal size bulb. and you cant even use any normal broom's stick. i'm not sure where this 5 stars reviews comming from
