So much better than bamboo holders ...
I've been using the bamboo/rattan woven holders since .. well .. forever, replacing them with cheap replacements every year or so. Finally decided to look for a better option -- and found these.I've had them about 3 weeks now, and they're working SO much better! No sharp pointy bits of bamboo to stick me or snag on things! Yay!I've been using them with large fairly heavy paper plates ( Dixie Ultra Modern Romance Plates, 20 Count, 10.0625 Inch ), and they fit great! The "lip" of the plate overhangs the edge of the holder, but I'm totally OK with that, as the rest of the plate seats securely in the holder. The holder itself seems sturdy enough -- I've had some fairly heavy contents loaded on one, and it didn't feel like it was going to bend or collapse. The black color works fine with my decor, too -- a nice neutral.I realize that these are probably available in other stores for less money, but I live in a relatively rural area with no "dollar store" within 100 miles, so I'm fine with the price here (just under 9 dollars for the set of 4). I think these will last a long time, so I'm fine with my "investment."

Not the same quality as before
Purchased these a few years back, maybe 4 years or so? - and they were fine. Not super high quality, but sturdy enough to do the job. My son recently moved out on his own and I placed a new order, some for him and some for me to keep. At least half of them were already cracked, split or chipped in some way or another. I gave him the good ones, and I trashed the rest.

for the cheap white flat pleated edge paper plates
I like these a lot. these holders are for those cheap, white, flat paper plates that have the pleated edge these are not for the better quality paper plates those do not need extra support. I wish they had more colors to choose from though glad I found these and I am happy with the purchase the quality of the plastic is fine for the purpose they are used for. I would not think that you could use them in microwave. these are for outdoor cookouts, picnics and such for those very cheap paper plates that I described above if you buy the better quality paper plates or the styrofoam kind, these holders are not for those products, these are for the real paper plates I did order these from Amazon I cannot find these in my local stores the delivery of the holders arrived quickly, within a week, will buy more of these holders

Finally found
I had been looking for these specific plate holders for quite some time. I do wish they were a bit sturdier. So far so good. We will see how well they stand up to everyday use.

Microwave safe and More Durable than I expected from other reviews
I just got these last week (2/5/19) and they are indeed cheap plastic holders for 9" paper plates .. just what I needed.Time will tell if they will really last BUT I've used one of them to microwave 3 meals without damaging it. One. a frozen lasagna. took 6 min on High plus 6.5 min on 50% power and the plate holder held up fine. But will it last a year?p.s. If used outside on a windy day, put food on the paper plate first.re: Plastic 9" Paper Plate Holders in Black Maryland Plastics 4 per Pack

Amazing purchase
Very pleased with this purchase and the speed in which it was shipped. I'm using them to put paper plates on to eat while I watch tv.

Mine worked in the Microwave
I think these are just what they are, plastic paper plate holders. You can't get too excited about that. They are low price so you're not paying a lot for them. They are not heavy duty or else why not just use a plate; I think the rigidity of the holders is just right. Overall, I think they work just great. Now a lot of people have asked if they work in the microwave. I have used them several times in the microwave with a glass splatter lid over top(the glass is actually touching the plastic) and they stood up just fine. The timer was set for a 1:30 on high. The plastic didn't feel week or melting. Now I think if you were to leave them in there for a long time then yeah probably different results but I think to just warm something up quick then you are ok.

A little thin but they get the job done
I was going to give this five stars but I opted not to for one reason, they are a bit flimsy. They do what they’re supposed to do but I feel like they won’t hold more than a pound or so. It will hold your sandwich and chips and they will hold 6 hot dogs but not much more.
