I am a old time Hollywood history lover so this book is so fascinating…the locations n what happened to the studios n places in old Hollywood…Definitly for ones who what to collect books of Hollywood cinema

We lived in LA years ago and have enjoyed the book. We learned new things but also were nostalgic about seeing areas again.

Interesting, but organization of the book intermixes old and new periods. Also, the pictures and book are too small. Needs larger format or longer book with one image per page.

Our hobby is watching old movies and playing detective to recognize locations around Los Angeles. This book filled in the older movies, before our time in LA.

For the Los Angeles / Hollywood film buff, this is an excellent book. The descriptions of the photos lets you know exactly where the shots were located, so you could find them now, if you were looking, although many of the landmarks no longer exist. It shows how all of Los Angeles was once a "company" town, the company being making movies.

If you are of fan of this type of book series and film making this is a great one. Enjoyed the quick read. Fun

Silly me, how could you fit as much information as I would have liked to have seen into one of these books. Learned a few new things but it would require a VOLUME of these set in neighborhoods around Southern California to really cover the story.

It's very clear Ms. Bible has a passion for the history of film. This is a very interesting book that shows where old movies were filmed. Informative and enjoyable. Thanks, Karie!
