The printing of this book was messed up so that text is garbled and illegible on pages 114, 115, and 117. Otherwise, it's a great book that my 8 year old son really enjoyed. He wants the basketball and baseball book now but I hesitate to get them because of the poor printing.

The book does explain a lot, but it needs to have just the basics with pictures, too, which would make it more useful for beginners. It is full of information and well written.

Great for teaching the basics about football. Got this for grandson age 5....

Great facts put in a way that kids can easily read and understand. My football loving students grab this book all the time to learn more about their favorite sport.

I purchased the book for my 11 year old grandson in New Zealand. He is just crazy over American football but can't get enough age appropriate info. He loves the book.

Much thinner book than I was expecting. I flipped through it and it seemed like it was printed ok. If I had paid the full price printed on the backside of the book then I would have been mad. For what I paid it seems ok.

The 7 1/2 year old boy it was bought for loves using it to learn about the sport he has fallen in love with.
