Nice pump, a little bigger than expected
I like the pump. It does exactly as promised. Depending on how you connect it and plumb, it can move alot of water.Relatively quiet yet it is rather large. They added a large foam pre-filter and housing. You need a little plumbing knowledge to hook up, but I found it easy.I use to operate a Nitrate Bio-Reactor in a 72 Gallon Bowfront Saltwater Reef Aquarium.I will be transferring this pump to a Koi Pond this Spring.Excellent product.

Quiet pump performs well so far
I have owned several pumps that are in this series, but this is the largest pump that I won. Thus far is has worked very well in my reef aquarium. I was somewhat surprised by the size of the outlet port. I was expecting 3/4", but it is larger. It appears that the instructions have the inlet and outlet dimensions switched. None-the-less, I was able to use adapters to connect it o 3/4" PVC plumbing albeit with increased backpressure. I have two Aquatop pumps that are a couple of years old and continue to work well (475 g/h). The 997 g/h model I had failed presumably because of bad bearings. Thus, I am watching the durability of this pump, but thus far, no performance issues and the price was excellent.

update description and photo
I read the product specs on truaqua and aquatop web sites. It listed this product as having a 3/4" inlet and 3/4" outlet. There were also two different pictures, one depicting the smaller pumps and one depicting the larger pumps. There was no way to determine which this one was except for the product specs on the websites. After receiving it it turns out that the outlet is 1/2". Additionally, there is no picture of the graph of the flow at different heights, it only lists the max head as 5'6". The box has a graph of the flow and there is almost no flow at 4'8" When I asked to return the product due to the description being incorrect, TruAqua referred me to Aquatop and took no responsibility for the return. The factory gave me an RMA but I had to pay the shipping. Normally I could understand that but this product was not described accurately, they should have paid for the shipping.

Might only last six months...
This is an okay pump. I set up a 75 gallon fowlr using this return pump in my sump. After about 6 months the pump went out. It started locking up and even tripped my breaker after cleaning it out good and trying it again. If my system wouldn't have been setup for this pump already I probably would have looked for a different brand to replace it. Being as though my main return pump was down I ordered another one through amazon in order to replace it quickly. Also had I not had a prime membership with free and quick shipping I would have ordered it from somewhere else for a cheaper price. The replacement pump has been running for a month and a half now without any issues, so far...

NOISEY
Far too noisey compared to older version, (could be one off issue) returned.

A Versatile, Quiet Pump
This helpful little pump works as advertised. It's about the size of two ice cubes, consumes just five watts, and runs almost silently (it's quieter than my canister filter or air pump.). The included plastic ball valve and positionable diverter allow for precisely directed water movement. I'm running it 24/7 at two thirds its full 95 gph flow to gently circulate a four foot long, 65 gallon tank with live plants and discus fish.My only improvement to this product would be to make it black instead of gray, so it could be even less visible in the fish tank. For around ten bucks I'm very well pleased with it.

Good flow, quiet but small leak
This pump is quiet. I will probably add a rubber mat below to avoid all possible sound because I used it with an in-line mount instead of submersible. I used it to feed my chiller of my reef tank. The flow is good, it is quiet enough with just a little bit of vibration. The only problem was the fitting with my 3/4" flexible pipe. The pipe was probably pulling on one side of the connector so I had a leak at the inlet and outlet. It was small like 1 drop every 20 seconds but that was no good. I added 1 very small O-ring just before adding the connector and it works well now.

Great, powerful and quiet
This is a fantastic pump and operates very quietly. The product quality and fitment seems to be very high. It comes with a few different fittings and ends, along with a venturi air injector to add bubbles to the stream if you prefer. I have mine operating at 2.5' of head and I barely see any drop in flow performance. I am very happy with this product.

Great reliable pump.
I used this pump to make an underwater filter. My only complaint is that I would like a much longer cord, at least 12 feet.
