Gorgeous pens and an excellent value! Graceful, substantial in the hand, and wonderful writers. My model was the Violet Leopard design, and it is definitely purple---on the bluish side, but a really pretty purple. The pen body is metallic and has a nice satin finish to it.The Metropolitan series (to which this belongs) are very classy-looking pens. Entire package punches way above its weight in quality and style. The fountain pen even includes a converter, so that you can use bottled inks.I bought a silver zig-zag version of this pen as a gift for my son, who is a medical professional. It was much nicer in person than in photos, and his eyes lit up when he opened it---he enjoys using it at work every day.

Beautiful pen with a nice heft. Feels far more expensive than it is. I just sent back a $50 Waterman pen in favor of this one. And, the best news (for me at least), is that my favorite pen cartridge fits perfectly in here. If you love the disposable Uniball Signo 207 retractable pens (I use the Micro 207's), just unscrew the point cap, pull out the cartridge and the spring, and then transfer both to this pen. NOW you truly have the best of both worlds. The best pen cartridge ever made, in this very stylish pen! Score!

Very elegant and writes well. The cap does not stay on when pushed onto the back during writing...and I've lost it a couple of times. That is the only complaint I have.

I am satisfied with this pen. I like the fine point, the color and design of the barrel and that the cap stays on while writing. The weight of the pen is good. The packaging makes for a nice gift presentation. I paid less than $20 which I feel is a good bargain.

Really happy with this pen. Such a smooth writing feel. I'm left handed and some pens are hard to push across paper. This isn't.
