Keeper - 8" Canopy Bungee Cords with Toggle Balls, 25 Pack

I use these cords to hold some canopies in place to reduce wind. I live near the ocean. I have to replace these cords every 18 months. They eventually lose their stretch. But, they are in the sun all day long. They are battered by wind and rain. I think they hold up well considering the conditions.

This is a nice product. I put tarps over our dog kennel for the winter to make it into a storage shed. I needed to use these bungee balls so that the tarp wouldn't get cut on anything sharp. These cords are easy to work with, and when double-wrapped become very strong, adjustable, and reusable. The only negative is that they aren't terribly long, so they won't work good to "reach" things like a normal bungee cord.UPDATE November 7, 2017: 7 years later, and I'm still using these bungees. Although for mostly light usage, I use these bungees for anything that needs to be quickly tied outside, usually in my shed. They are holding up well through many cold winters.

Good value, very useful for keeping my shade structure firmly secured to ground stakes. The winds at Burning Man are very unpredictable and it's important to keep your campsite securely latched down to the ground with rebar stakes (or at least really high quality tent stakes), especially anything that can catch the wind like a shade cloth.Not a big deal, but they had a really weird smell when I took them out of the bag. I aired them out and it wasn't as noticeable later.I had enough to share with other people in my camp if they needed some.

I'm using these on the clear tarps I have over my gardens. I like the ball system bungees & am so glad that I got the 8". Perfect for so many things. If your grommets are large enough, you can double loop these without any problems, so I'd say they are adjustable as well. Great value and fast shipping!

These were much sturdier than I'd expected. They have some stretch but it's a nice firm stretch. I use them for hanging tarps, but also inside my horse trailer tack room for hanging/tieing down items in there. I drilled holes through my hollow aluminum support beams, with a 5/16" bit to allow the cord to slide through (but it fits quite snugly which I wanted) and now I can hang a broom, stall picker, etc, up towards the ceiling and out of the way, thus maximizing my floor space. These are the perfect size to do so and if not, then attach another to it and there you go :)

The cords on these are nice and thick. However, that means they don't stay looped around the ball by themselves, so you need to be able to slide it to a tarp grommet after fastening or clip something around it to hold the cords in place.

I use these for so many things they are just great! Not good for puppy pens though! I used them in one of my puppy pens, the pups chewed off the ball and the ball is the perfect size to choke a pup. It did not happen because I saw the little chewed off ball and took it out of the pen but the same could go for human babies. With that aside these are really nice to have around.

I searched for quite a few bungees to hang four large banners to a custom built framework. I needed a bungee that would stretch just past 12 inches on the bungee portion because the gap on each side of my banners is 6 inches. (on the bungee, 6 inches from banner to frame and 6 inches back to the banner) these bungees were perfect. They gave me just enough extra stretch to put both sides on nice and taught. Great bungees, especially for the price. Have since ordered more for other projects.
