A Wonderful Gift to Those of Us Helping Post-Abortive Women
As a Regional Coordinator for the Silent No More Awareness Campaign (an international outreach to post-abortive men and women) I have the privilege of helping women who are just beginning to see how wounded they are after an abortion, some many years after the fact. I have found that some of the women I connect to after they register their regret on our Silent No More Awareness' website are not ready to talk about their experience in the context of a group healing program. They need a gradual approach to facing their painful past. I have recommended several times now that these women read Cradle My Heart and that they tune in to hear the Cradle My Heart radio broadcast. What a wonderful gift Kim has given me to share with these post-abortive women. This book is written in a loving and sensitive fashion that cannot fail to reach those who are in pain with the message of God's love, forgiveness and healing after abortion. I am thrilled to see how God is using Kim Ketola's important and beautiful book, radio program and personal ministry to help my post-abortive ministry be more effective. The powerful ripples of His Word go on and on! Thank You Kim.

Spiritual Healing for Loss
This book is written to women who have aborted, but I also found it very relevant to someone processing and grieving through loss as a birthparent. Kim is very honest in the reasons she opted for abortion and she is equally honest in how all those reasons unraveled after the abortion. She very lovingly handles the issues of guilt, shame, self-revulsion, questioning God, how it effected other pregnancies, marriage. There is no condemnation in her words, just encouragement to work through the pain and that God does not reject you either. The book is especially helpful if are a Christian, or maybe were and just can't get past the abortion. I have found secular books very hollow on how to overcome "taboo" loss through abortion or adoption--they are great at pointing out the psychological challenges, but they have shallow "solutions" for coping or healing. This book is authentic and spiritually healing!

A book with healing powers.
Abortion, in recent years, has become an answer for many women, to unwanted pregnancies. What many are not aware of is, that there are consequences of making that choice for many years. Kim does an excellent job in this book of raising the spiritual issues involved and how to heal oneself. This one choice made involves grief , loss, guilt, and unhappiness. One wonders if God hates them for killing an unwanted child, can He ever forgive them, can one forgive oneself?Kim asks and answers all of these questions in this book in a tactful , caring, spiritual way that leads to the healing that is needed. I was so impressed by Kim's feelings of empathy and understanding of the hurt these women are going through. In each chapter, there is a subject addressed, then ideas for reflecting on the suggestions. A prayer request is then printed that can be repeated by the reader. Lastly, each ends with ways to respond to the ideas, in order for healing to start and then continue to the next step. This book is truly one which exhibits God's power to forgive and redeem pain in lives and use it for Him. Something that many of us must be frequently be reminded of. The wounds of abortion are described in such detail and in such a way that you feel the ache and pain of these poor women. It made me think, how would I have reacted in such a situation? What choice would I have made and what would my consequences have been. This is a fantastic study book for all who have experienced abortion.A much needed aid to spiritual wellness in this day and age.
