Walker SoundFX 18899 Direct Fit Exhaust Muffler 1.75" Outlet (OD) for Nissan Sentra

Ours was rusted and wasn't passing inspection without a new muffler. Auto shop wanted $150 for this part and would've taken 2 weeks. Perfect fit and the car sounds and drives much better! Thank you Amazon!

Working good on my car

This muffler fit well and was easy to install on a 2006 Nissan Sentra. The flange is solid 1/4" steel, rather than the cheap thin gauge metal that was on the original muffler, which had almost completely rusted away. The hardest part was removing the old muffler, which was so rusted that I had to drill out the bolts.

This recommended gasket for Walker Exhaust SoundFX18899, is wrong. This gasket is to large.

Great price on Amazon, and this bolted on pretty easily. I bought a walker catalytic converter (55438), intermediate pipe (56097), and muffler (1899) and put them all on my 2004 sentra myself with it on ramps. It was more of a pain to remove the pieces than put these new ones on, but both were manageable. I also put a new O2 sensor on (Denso 234-4301) which fit easily. It was semi confusing which gaskets were needed, I used Walker 31334 and 31578. At the end of the day this all worked. I did have to go to Ace Hardware and by some new bolts that matched up with the crusty rusty ones I pulled off. After putting this all on, and resetting check engine light, it still came back on. I ended up just needing to reset the mass air flow sensor, then it was all good and the car sailed through emissions.

I also bought the intermediate pipe, because the flanges were in really bad shape. With new flanges on both mating parts it went together nicely.

Fits a 2004 nissan sentra perfect un bolt old muffler and clip this one on. Sounds quite no issues

I wish the advert had also included a gasket or at least referred to one that fit.
