Chilli Man Vegetarian with Beans

This chili is SO good and filling! Deserves more than just five stars. Even my carnivore husband routinely requests it!

I prefer to make my own veggie chili but when you just don't have enough time I always have these around. For my taste and I can also include my wife here it is hand down the best canned chili I have ever tried. A very rich thick broth and complicated flavorings that is stunning coming out of a can, cant go wrong with this purchase.

This is the best vegetarian chili there is!!! I have been a vegetarian for about 40 years. I first found this at a health food store about 25 years ago - bought it and loved it!!! When they went out of business, I searched and didn't find it until Amazon came along quite a few years ago. I was a regular purchases - buying a case at a time. Then about a year ago, Amazon didn't sell it anymore. I was so disappointed - looked all over for it and couldn't find it. Tried every other brand I could find - but NO ONE came close. Then one day a month of so ago, I was really hungry for Frito Chili Pie, so I checked Amazon again - HALLELUJAH!!!!! It was back!!!!! I immediately ordered 3 cases!!! I plan to order a case on a regular basis to have my own stock pile. THANK YOU AMAZON for getting this back!!! I was so happy when I saw it, I might have yelled "hooray" or something. I am so happy to have this available again. I have shared it with my non-vegetarian friends, and they like it too - and they love how easy it is to make a quick dinner. I am so thrilled and cannot recommend it highly enough. It is definitely worth the price, and arrived in perfect condition.

Shipping was listed separately in the receipt inside the shipping box: $5.00 with the chili at $28 and change. Still less than $3.00 per can so not really a deal breaker. Needs seasoning for my taste, like Chili Powder and Cumin, but nice flavor to start with. I like it with rice.

This item accurately meets all descriptions, works awesomely; performs well when used properly and I highly recommend it to anyone.

First off its fine canned chilli. Lower sodium than many and good flavor. Honestly made me wonder if the chillis sold with so called ‘meat’ are lying and using whatever bits are in this. But the cans! My box came looking pristine and so did their wrapped carry box. However each can looked like it had been beaten by someone with hate in their heart. Dents everywhere! EVERY can has some level of damage. As if they threw all the dents on one box and shipped it special to me. Long term storage is out of the question for any of these. No bulge or leaks and I was planning on eating all 12 in the next couple months anyway. That old ‘don’t waste’ mentality is hard to break so I’ll he eating em. Mine will be the home floating like a dirigible.

Vegetarian or not, for canned chili this stuff is incredible. Thick, rich texture, unlike a lot of other brands that tend to be a bit runny. Very flavorful, and even better with a dash of cayenne pepper if you like your chili spicy, as I do. Great as a stand-alone dish, on veggie dogs, with cornbread...you name it. Excellent nutritional value, too -- high in protein and fiber, low in fat. (Some take issue with the sodium content, but let's face it, most canned chilis and soups -- and prepared foods in general -- are loaded with it.) I've had Hormel and Amy's; Chilli Man is far better. To this vegetarian, it's chili heaven!
