Unrealistic, imo.
The magic figure here is 15/6 ..... the first part is 15 grams of sugars and that's all you can have for the entire day. Although I do believe that'd probably be really good for you & I do believe almost anyone would lose weight eating this way, I don't think that it's realistic.A coke has more than double that. Ketchup would be impossible, 3 Tablespoons is 12 sugars. Ok, so both of those things are not so good for you in the first place. This diet also makes it impossible to eat yogurt, the light yogurts seem better according to the author but the lowest listed still has 6 sugars per 5.3 oz serving. Tomatoes (including canned) are high in sugar. Forget about any form of sweetener except the chemical ones, which I won't eat.That said, the hunks of meat, eggs and real cheese are pretty much "free" foods. Every spice and herb I could find was pretty much in the 0/0 category too.Just not a way I can eat for the rest of my life. Maybe as a diet but if I could stick to a diet I probably wouldn't need one. I need a change that I can stick to forever and, for me, this isn't it.

Great book to help solve the hidden sugars in food, which is almost everything! Jorge gives the common sense approach to losing weight and or a guide line to living a better eating life style. Prepare your own food or eat out? He has calculated the sugars and carbs for you. I take this book grocery shopping as a guide line and have learned to stay away from sucrose! My husband and I have really enjoyed his creative menus in his last book and there are two suggestions for two days of meals in this one to lose weight. Try it....after all the only thing you can lose is weight!

It Works!
This book explains that it is sugar that is the problem. Eliminate most of the sugar from your diet and good things happen. In the last five weeks I have lost eighteen pounds (from 244 down to 226) and my wife has lost seven pounds. We have had no cravings, not been very hungry, have lots of energy, and feel terrific. The weight loss has been consistent each week and we are eating much smaller meals... all without really trying! There are plenty of good things to eat that do not have a lot of sugar and this book helps you to know what they are and where to find them. It is a smart investment.

Have to Improvise
It does work, is a bit stringent to follow, takes a lot of will power. I'm on a low salt diet and have to watch my cholestero so nt all the suggestions work for me but I'm able to substitue. Because of this, I've lost less than expected but it is working just coming off a little more slowly. Good plan.

My wife loves this life change
My wife loves the way this book changed her and my life and way of eating. Just by following the recipes and adhering to the sugar and carb counts she was able to lose 60 pounds in about 5 months. I also lost weight but not quite that much. She did this without any additional exercise than she normally does, which is not much of anything. If you're looking to change your life and eating habits you'll want to get this book. But follow it to the letter and you will lose weight and keep it off.

Counting the way down
This book has everything I can imagine to eat in it and the counts for each. It is a great book to have to go along with the original Belly Fat cure book. If you watch what you eat and ge your excersise in it will work for you.

Easy to do actually!
This book is a handy supplement to the actual diet, which is easy to do/ live with and everyone in the family likes the food plan, not just me, the dieter! It's so nice to have information and a plan anyone can do and have it all in one book. Bought one for me and a son and others in the family went out and got their own! So get the diet book to go with this one.

This is a good companion for the diet
This is great and works hand in hand with the actual Belly Fat Cure book. It lists a lot of foods and the carbs and sugar that they contain so you can make rational choices. It also has several fast food restaurant listings which lets you know that you can still go there and get a few things and it won't be a killer for your diet. Great book.

Not up to my expectations
I thought it was a book that had more creative ideas to healthy cooking,but yet again it's just a calculator of how many caloris can I eat per day and back to counting grains of rice ...
