Calypso Once A Day Sun SPF50+ Protection Spray - 150 ml

Very good quality product

My wife has pale skin and blonde hair, and always burns and ends up with prickly heat when on holiday, even when using the very expensive P20. This stuff was so much better - easy to apply in the spray can, no staining and she didn't burn at all.

I like the spray application, and the longer use. I've used Calypso products before and this is my favourite. Like other all day sunscreens, it does stain fabric - can't wear it with white, or at least not for a couple of hours after application or if you're sweaty! And it also stains surfaces, so I always apply it in a bathroom. But once that faff's out of the way, it's great for long use (as long you're still sensible with sun exposure). I have extremely sensitive skin to the sun and burn within minutes when the UV is high, and this is the only sunscreen I use these days. It gives me about a half day of being able to go in and out of the sun with confidence I won't burn - where as even with factor 50 on I start to feel a bit 'burny' after 60-90 minutes in high UV. It makes a big difference to me to have that extra time if I want to go for a good long walk in the midday sun. The only comparable product I've found is P20, which is much more expensive and much more stinky!

Easy to apply, doesn't smell strongly or sting like some others

Does the job easy to apply. Only down side was sprayed it on my son as leaving for school for it to get on his white t-shirt and stained it. The next time I used it before putting top on and had no stains on top.

Always use this on my children and they never burn. Sprays on well and covers really well too. Perfect

This is the first time we've used this particular Calypso, and it's the best one for my teenage son so far. He is so very white in pallor and burns easily, he didn't go pink or red once. I liked that it lasted more hours than the other once a day ones that we've had. It is quite oily and thick, you do have to rub it in well which was a bit of pain for him, but it's better than sunburn. We didn't get any stained clothes that we noticed. If spraying, it is best to do outside somewhere that isn't slippy, or on a towel, when we did it on a tiled floor it did make it very slippy. He has sensitive skin and didn't get heat rash, or any sensitivity to this.

I bought this for the last month before the kids finished primary school. I put it on them on a morning before they set out. The days were hot at 27-30 degrees and working in school nursery I could feel the heat they were out in. They did not burn at all from the sun. I would buy again and would recommend. It does make uniform yellow but I've found all suncreams do!
