FPV Camera Caddx Ratel 2 Newest 1/1.8'' Starlight HDR OSD 1200TVL 16:9 NTSC 2.1mm Lens for FPV Quadcopter Racing Drone (Red)

A friend has several of these in his quads and when I watched him fly I could tell this camera was much better than the mini camera I had in my Armattan Rooster. I had my first full day of flying with the Caddx the other day. The 3 main pluses are, much better color, much easier to see those leafless twigs/limbs you get in winter and many times better view when facing toward the sun. One of the places I fly you have to land to the south which means you are facing toward the sun in the winter. With my other cameras I was pretty well blinded when I was trying to land. With the Caddx Ratel I can now clearly see where I'm going even when facing directly in the direction of the sun. I will be replacing the cameras in my other quads.

These are my favorite fpv camera for all of my quadcopter builds. For the price you can't beat its quality, video clarity and sturdiness. They're Starlight rated but you can't really see anything in the dark. They work great in twilight and low light but not like these are night vision. Sometimes the colors will look over saturated (dark hues, red/orange) but you can just lower the contrast. Still my overall favorite fpv camera.

I'm really pleased with the Ratel. So much, I've put it in 3 mini quads. Great camera, great price.

This camera does it all and the vivid color reproduction is the best i have found. Nice back cover for protecting components. The best camera for quick recovery of sun light saturation so that you are not flying blind...The best low light camera out thier because color mode works great to distinguish contrast.Why buy any other camera?

I bought the caddx ratel camera to replace a runcam that got damaged. It turns out the caddx ratel is a better camera. Please note that it is a micro cam and did not come with a mounting bracket so unless you are fitting it in a quad that already has a micro cam mount you will need an adapter. The picture is great and the low light capabilities are very good. We tested it in the evening and it really does make a difference. I may be buying a couple more of these cams for my other quads. Also important is lens choice . There is two options and I chose the 2.1 lens. I have been told the other option is 1.66 lens and it may have the fisheye affect on what you see(rounded edges in the video). Hope this helpsThanks

The media could not be loaded.  This is an awesome fpv camera fly at sunset and into the night with out even knowing it with this camera it's like daytime in my goggles and dark when I take them off! It's a very nice camera that just plugs right in and extra cables and plugs to meet your needs easy also a little joy stick to use more options,

So some people might think I'm dumb for making this comment but it's honestly misleading and so I'm sharing. It's not the camera pictures, the one shown in every photo is the Caddx ratel version 1. But you will be sent the square smaller in size (still a micro like version 1) second edition Caddx ratel. Some people might think it's cool but for me it's not since I specifically wanted Caddx ratel version 1

Too pricey for a product that can't survive in a minor crash. Make sure you have it mounted on a strong frame or this camera will not survive a crash.
