This collar is nicer and more functional than any collar I could find at a pet supplies store. I really like how it tightens up gently as the dog pulls the leash. It is easy to use and the lock feature keeps the collar securely attached.

When we adopted our new puppy from our local vet, they sent us home with an extra collar they had on hand and it was a Max and Neo collar. I didn’t even know this type of collar existed, but I was immediately impressed because it was thick without being too stiff and I really liked the Nightingale aspect of it where it cinches up and tightens if the dog pulls a bit, not enough to cut off any sort of air supply by any means or create discomfort as long as you have it fitted properly. We chose purple for our little gremlin, and we love the color and the sizing chart they provided was perfect!

The design on this collar is fantastic. Ensures it is loose and comfortable on our dog, yet make sures she doesnt escape when she tugs. After she slipped out of a normal collar, this tightening one seemed perfect, and it was. Sturdy, durable.

I purchased this collar because it's what the rescue that I got my dog from uses. I had originally purchased a pink one from the company directly but it was taking so long to ship that I got a purple one on Amazon that arrived in 2 days. I like that they donate a dollar to a rescue with each purchase and the martingale collar has a lock on the buckle to prevent any escape artists from escaping. I have had dogs flip around and pull and they cannot get out of this collar. They are durable and their price is reasonable. These collars are my new "go to". I really like the many features of this collar. Reflective stitching, a ring specifically for tags, a locking mechanism for the collar clip.One caution; they’ve updated their sizing. I ordered a medium and was sent one of the old sized mediums which was too small. Max & Neo customer service quickly responded to my inquiry and sent me a correct sized collar. This issue probably explains the Amazon caution that it’s a frequently returned item (until Amazon gets the old sized collars out of stock).

Collar fits a little on the big side but works great. Only issue is it came with a aper saying a free gift, I have yet to recieve this gift they speak of.

After looking for a martingale collar with a buckle for a while, I thought I had struck gold finding the Max and Neo collar on Amazon and ordered two, one each for the two dogs. However, my luck changed for the worst when one (out of the 2 ordered at the same time) were delivered.Not only did both collars not come at the same time, which has never happened before but the collar is way too thin and may as well be a cat collar. I understand they can’t be as wide as a normal collar for a very large dog but just because they’re small doesn’t mean they need very thin cat collars. Alongside this, the measurements are way off and a good inch smaller than their other collars which are the same size! I am more than disappointed with my order and am now stuck with a useless collar that will end up being donated as the return fee will be too high to post it back to Amazon global and another one which I hope will be cancelled but may just end up with 2 useless collars and the loss of cash I spent on these.

I needed a utilitarian black collar to use with decorative bow-tie collars but while this was my immediate choice (I have 2 similar make collars: red & pink), the blue Max & Neo logo and white stitchings were a distraction competing with the bow-tie decoration. I was hoping the black disappears to enhance the decoration.As this is only my preference I award 4⭐️ for the reliability of this collar: the snap-buckle has a sliding lock so it’s secure in case of accidental release (I’ve yet to see another like this) and the martingale collar is always loose on the neck until tightened.
