Bought as a gift for a friend who is interested in learning Chinse calligraphy. It has everything shown in the Amzone images.

Great little set for practicing Kanji! Good starter set!

if your kids have strong willingness of calligraphy, you can buy this. It is comprehensive, with brushes, liquid ink, and solid ink. But the overall quality is not that good since it has this price. The ink holder loses moisture easily and only 30ml liquid ink which is a pretty small amount. If you just wanna try calligraphy, you can buy it. It won't be a good choice if you want to start your long journey with calligraphy.

I looked up how to use this on YouTube, but written instructions or a link to a video would be helpful.

The ink “stone” tray is plastic. Definitely for beginners.

i got this just to have a portable set. i was a little upset to find that the "ink stone" is plastic but it still works fine and makes it easy to transport and carry. i only wish it came with a water bottle.

This is an excellent choice for a beginner. The tiny bottle of liquid ink which is included won't last for very long, but the ink stick will last for quite a while. The ink well grinds easily. I'm very pleased with this purchase.

The calligraphy set arrived on time and as advertised. It's difficult to use at first, but it works well once you get used to it.

When I use the ink stick with the ink liquid, the black is weel saturated but the ink dries quickly in the box so I need to refill at every 2 strokes... which can be very tedious and annoyingIt's a good begginer kit though
